Hotel Sixty3 is a truly centrally located hotel in Kota Kinabalu city.It sits on the quaint, bustling, yet charming street of Jalan Gaya (formerly known as Bond Street during colonial times), with the State’s tourist information office right opposite the hotel. The street is flourishing with a myriad of restaurants, bistros and cafes, burgeoning with everything from lifestyle malls (Suria Sabah Mall, Wisma Merdeka) to local side-stalls, and being the city’s business high street, it is surrounded by financial institutions. Also famous for its colourful and vibrant Sunday market, it is evident that Jalan Gaya captures perfectly the essence of life in Kota Kinabalu and at Hotel Sixty3; all of this are just pulses away!

I and my family stayed in Hotel 63 family room between 22-25/7, 3 nights, we are from Hong Kong. We had a wonderful stay at Hotel 63, we both agreed the staffs there always smile at us no matter we walk pass the counter or ask questions at counter.

The family room is spacious and we have 3 big suitcases and still have space to walk and eat. We really appreciated that Hotel use refillable water bottle instead of plastic water bottles, and there is a rope at bathroom for us to hang wet clothes (dont want how to describe).

The location of the Hotel is great, which is located at Gaya street, we luckily stay on Sat and Sun, so we found good food at the Sat night matket and Sun market. We found the food of Kopi cafe downstairs is very delicious, we bought take away few times. We definitely stay at Hotel Sixty3 if we visit Sabah again.

We stayed for 6 nights across two weeks as we explored Sabah. The family room was very large and comfortable for our three person family. Air con could be adjusted, rain shower, comfortable beds and good wi-fi. Staff were friendly and helpful, storing luggage, booking a grab to the airport and smiling as we entered and exited. Lots of cheap Malay food around with three breakfast places 10 seconds from the hotel entrance. Friday night food markets on the same street were also good. We booked direct and communicated via facebook and email as their booking system was down. A great base for an excellent holiday.

It's a decent hotel with late check-in, friendly staff, decent room conditions, and a good location (good restaurants, currency exchange, travel, etc.).
This is a great hotel if you are looking for a cost-effective hotel, if you are a group of 3-4 people, or if you want to be in a downtown location in Kota Kinabalu or Balju. This hotel is close to Old Town White Coffee and Sunday Market right in front, and restaurants such as Yu It Cheong, Ipung Laksa, and Filipino Market are just a short walk away.

Very friendly staff- always greets you when you come in and out.
Checked in to Super Standard and got a free upgrade to Superior King- Super spacious room. Very clean with a spacious bathroom.
Aircond can be turned on and off and temperature can be controlled.
Location- right smack in the center where food places and shopping mall is within walking distance yet you dont hear the hustle and bustle going on outside.
Breakfast with set choices at the cafe just next door.
loved it a will definitely be my hotel of choice when i return.

The staff are really friendly. I was sad that another hotel canceled on the same day and ruined my trip, but I received a call from this hotel and helped me out. I was very grateful that they even upgraded my room at the price of another hotel I had booked at a lower price. The bed is clean and overall it is a good value hotel.

It's especially great for storing luggage. I left my luggage there on the day I returned home and traveled comfortably. The staff member in charge of luggage, Adzman, told me to leave my luggage comfortably. He was really kind!

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to visit this hotel. Upon check-in, we were informed that this is a non-smoking building. However, when I opened the room door, there was a very strong smell of cigarettes. I had a hard time falling asleep.

My family of 11 (6 adults, 5 kids) stayed for an overnight in 4 different rooms. We had a great sleepover at Sixty3. The rooms are huge. The only setback, we need to park our cars at the public parking lot nearby as Sixty3 has no parking.

Surely not again as a pricy hotel for what it has to offer. Does not even have a coffeehouse or laundry services. Guest are given a voucher to have breakfast at a coffeeshop across the road and probably the values is about RM10.00. Neverthesss staff is freindly and hotel is centraly located

First and last accommodations in Kota Kinabalu!
This is a review of the best accommodation I visited with a friend. It was near the airport, had a great location with easy access to cafe streets, was spacious, clean, and reasonably priced, and the service was the best ever, far superior even compared to expensive hotels. I would like to especially express my gratitude to the ADZMAN staff. On the first day, I was very grateful that Grab carried my heavy suitcase and checked the schedule. When I checked in at the hotel on the last day, I was in a bad state because I drank too much, but I was really grateful that they took the initiative to check my baggage and my condition and help me. And I'm sorry for causing you so much trouble. Thanks to you, I left with a great sense of warm kindness and consideration during my trip to Kota Kinabalu and was deeply touched. AZDMAN Your SIXTY3 is light itself! Thank you for allowing me to leave with good memories.

Dear H B, Thank you for your question. On price wise, Hotel Sixty3 is a lot cheaper than Shangri-La. If you and your mom is looking for a hotel that is in the city, Hotel Sixty3 is the place where it is located strategically in the city center with many verity local restaurants around, a minute walk to Gaya Street Sunday Market, walking distance to major shopping malls and Jesselton jetty to go to the islands however if you want a 5 star resort and spend much of your time in the resort itself with large swimming pool, dining in the resort restaurants and recreation activities then Shangri-La would be the ideal place. Hope the above can be of help. Thank you.
