We enjoyed so much the valley view from our 5A room. I can just sit there all day long without doing anything but relax. Really miss this place and definitely will book the room again in the future. The picture did the room justice. You will enjoy the promised view.

This suited us as we were looking for somewhere near enough to the park to walk in, and didn't want to pay the exorbitant prices of staying inside. As you are at altitude it is cold outside. It was a good sized room. We didnt try the tv. We ate at the cafe opp the main park entrance. We loved...

We arrived for our 3 night stay in the dark and rain, with luggage and had difficulty finding J residence as the signpost is not prominent enough. We negotiated the steep and slippery driveway with minimal lighting. Had to ring the doorbell twice before getting a lukewarm reception. No information forthcoming, no help finding the room, (which was further down...

Very close to the front gates of the national park down a steep driveway. We had a twin room, turned out to be its own bungalow in excellent condition. Tea/coffee and DVDs. Good BBQ areas and close to cheap decent food in the restaurant opposite the park. Compared to prices inside the park which were huge, if you're a pair...

I good place near Kanibalu park. Calm and cozy. There is a hot water and tea in the room. !50 meters in direction to the Kaniibaly park there is a cafe, where you could have berakfast and lunch with good price.

We spent 3 nights in House 1 - it's clean, it's comfortable, you've got everything you need. Laundry service was quick and not expensive at all, and it was really great to have some dry clothes, since in December, the climate was quite moist and most agreeably cool (around 25 degrees). In terms of food, we'd suggest the smaller restaurant...

I have just came back from Kundasang few days ago. It has been a very pleasurable stay for both me and my girlfriend. We have a nice balcony in which we got the nicest mountainous view. The service staffs were also very friendly and helpful. If I ever going back for any expedition or holiday plannings, I'll certainly put J-Residence...

In general, a pleasant experience one could reasonably expect to live near the nature. Positives: nice basic room with reasonably sized bathroom, pleasant little private deck with hanging egg-shaped chair and free wifi. Be sure to bring your sweater, it gets cold at night. Negatives: power failure for 10 minutes during the night around 11pm (Good thing there was emergency...

I love staying here because it is quite , peace ,, tranquilty. The rooms are very clean although it is quite small but the exterior area is big and we could sit outside and have a cup of coffee while enjoying the view. Since we book 2 rooms next to each other it equivalent having the whole villa by ourself....

Just 300 metres away from the entrance of Kinabalu Park Headquarters, J Residence is the nearest lodge outside Mount Kinabalu National Park, and with rooms price three times lower than those chalets and lodges inside Kinabalu Park. J Residence was built in the year 2010 and our lodge are partially hidden by trees and plants from the main road. Our lodge overlook the Bundu Tuhan dwelling & farming community while the back is decorated with rows of tall matured pine trees. Temperature here ranges from 19°C to 17°C at night.
