We had booked a room with window and 2 double beds. The morning we were checking in they wrote us they only had another room. When we turned up in the late evening, they showed us a tiny room, no windows and 2 bunk beds. Not quite the same. The worst part was actually that the receptionist didn't try to...

Stayed here 1 night, started looking for a new hostel 10 minutes after checking in. Breakfast is just toast and jam, room had no window and smelled bad, 2 toilets (1 of which stank)and 2 showers for entire hostel. Only thing I can say in defence of the place is the showers and a/c were good

Convenient stay in KK, with cheap dorms, quite a lot of facilities and a helpfull staff. Only con is that there's young people living in the same building, they can be noisy in the early morning. Overall good value for price you pay, and at a good location.

Gaya lodge was the worst place my wife and I stayed over a month in Malaysia and Indonesia. The staff on reception were inattentive and unable to provide tourist advice when we requested their help. The breakfast is awful thin pieces of toast. The lounge area was musty and lacking the cool open space that one wants when trying to...

Lodge is located in the centre of the city, 10 minutes walk from Philippino night market. The place is quite enough. All the furniture in the room was old and dirty, but everything was working. Breakfast is just toasts and jam. The staff is very friendly.

The room gave a dirty impression. The sheets had a funky smell as did the towel. Stains on walls, sheets and towels. The common area is not cosy at all. There is an old lady staying/living in the hostel. We left the hotel after 1 night. If you are really tight on budget maybe this is a fit for you....

The location of this lodge is very good, sorrounded by many restaurants, Chinese mainly serving the delicious Bak ku teh soup, a must try. WiFi is slow, our shower had no pressure and because we are checking out the next morning we didn't give them a chance to fix it. TV only 3 local chanels none in English. The rest...

Centrally located in Kota Kinabalu. Very clean room with an AC. The shower/bathroom was great and clean. The beds unfortunately were very squeaky and uncomfortable to sleep on. The staff were not at all friendly and didn't help us with anything.

Everything, bad smelly room, dirty sheets and blanket, no cleaning the 4 days that i was there. Breakfast very very basic, you must make it yourself and clean the cup and plate. That would be no problem but I paid to much for this room.. Bad connection of wifi, the young boy or girl did not help you with anything...

Stayed in a double room. Room is small and decor is a bit simple and outdated, but you get what you pay for. Bathroom was clean and towels were provided. Aircon was a nice to have! Room can be quite noisy. Breakfast was quite basic (toast + jam) Location is great, closed to the centre
