A low-priced stay hotel in Penang for a few nights. It is located near KOMTAR and the main bus station. hawkers foodstalls are nearby serving the best best Penang Chinese cuisines. The hotel itself is an average place with stayable rooms. The washrooms are clean and the beds are ok, maybe needing refurnishing. Otherwise a good choice of stay for... More

I had to make a business trip to Penang this week and most of the hotels were fully booked. This is due mainly to the schools and year-end holidays and Penang is a favorite destination for holidays in Malaysia. Ended up staying at this hotel. As expected from a chained hotel, the amenities and facilities were pretty standard and comfortable... More

This is the second time that I have stayed at this hotel. It is still excellent. Service by their employees is excellen, very formal, but very accommodating. The breakfasts are wonderful. Haven't had baked pears in A generation. Room service is old world. You just don't get that any more. Rooms are great, even if a little small. One has... More

Nice stay and Warming welcome at reception. The Hotel charges you 100 RM as refundable deposit. For 4 pax there were only 2 coffee mugs kept, we demanded more cups and tea bags. This has to be done by the hotel w.o demanding. Pool is small and of 1.5m depth, you can see nice view of Penang Bridge from pool.... More

Avoid this hotel. A new “management team” recently took over the hotel. They are a bad fit with the long term employees. The blame is not with the long term employees. After I checked in and paid, I went outside briefly. When I returned, the automatic double glass sliding door shut very rapidly, and with strong force, on me. The... More

I understand this hotel was given a 3stars but in my opinion, it does not worth half a star. Located in a good place right in the heart of Penang Island. Reception & Lobby: Lobby is dark and no proper waiting area. I make a call to the receptionist to confirm my reservation but they failed to give me an... More

First of all, this hotel must not be confused with another one with very similar name but better rating. I don't mind old hotels as long as they are clean and well maintained. But not this one. From the car park to the lobby and corridors are not well-lit. And yes, the elevator is dangerous. Stained beddings and mouldy pillows.... More
