Our family stayed at seven terraces in April for three days. We were especially interested to experience the renovation and restoration of this significant heritage building. It didn't disappoint, the hotel is beautiful with exquisite details throughout. The woodwork that encloses the courtyard from which all the rooms look into is wonderful.  Chris Ong’s commitment, research, attention to detail and...

Suggest you follow Robert's recommendations for what to see, eat and do in Georgetown. Each suggestion was perfect. And Seven Terraces, a sight to see in itself, proved a haven at the end of each busy day.

Seven Terraces offers a wonderful holiday / mini break experience by being part of, not separate from, Georgetown culture itself. The location is wonderful, right in the centre of the action so it's a short walk to the major sights and nightlife. However the inhouse restaurant and bar is also worth stopping at. Bababar mix a mean cocktail at reasonable...

Once you step into this building you cannot help but feel the old world charm. The decor was of olden days Chinese design theme. Delicious breakfast was provided in the dining room. Overall we had a great time staying here.

Had a wonderful stay with friendly & helpful staff, beautiful rooms and good food. When booking for dinner at the hotel, one need to take care and understand their conditions regarding fix menu options and being an In house guest or not. The is clearly one of the best place to stay in Georgetown.

The Seven Terraces is an oasis of calm, old fashioned premier service and high quality accommodation. The room (suite) was spacious over two floors with antique furniture but modern facilities. We could fault nothing and the restaurant food was brilliant. Worth every penny!

Kebaya restaurant well worth having a meal at too Breakfast is not a buffet but caters for all needs. Has good coffee and offer refills so you can take your time over leisurely breakfast. Pool...

This is an expertly renovated set of terraces converted into a small boutique hotel. Period furnishings so like going back through time. Rooms are exquisitely furnished with high quality bathroom fittings. Good air conditioning and fans. Quiet and central location, parking. Hotel has bar, restaurant (good breakfast - asian and western), lounge are and pool. Service is perfect.

A hotel converted from a Chinese merchant house by Chris Ong. We really felt this was the best hotel we had stayed in in term of providing a real memorable experience of Penang. Wonderful but not intrusive service. Very interesting building and artefacts. 2 floor suites with bedroom containing traditional Chinese marriage bed but on a king size scale. Balcony...

Recently spent five nights at Seven Terraces and thoroughly enjoyed every moment. The terraced building has been sympathetically restored; suites have been tastefully decorated (including modern, spacious bathrooms) and everything is immaculately maintained. There's a bar and fine restaurant (will try this next visit!) offering a degustation menu (residents can also order a la carte). A good breakfast selection each...
