While the pricing may seem standard for guesthouses around. But I've managed to find similar places at a cheaper rate. So for what it offers, the prices could have been cheaper and it'd make more sense. It lacks a breakfast. Not even the Malaysian basic of giving bread and butter/jam. The toilets and bathrooms were mostly clean. It rained and...

Stayed here for one night out of desperation at finding somewhere at 10pm. We got a "good deal" on a double room with a/c, but internal and no window at 60myr. Let's remember what 60myr gets you elsewhere. Next day we paid 2.30myr each for a bus ride to batu ferrenghi and paid the same for a nice room by...

We stayed there 4 nights in a double room. Pros : Room size good Good location -close to bars, cafés, restaurants, street food... Malabar inn is a good budget option. The rooms are clean and with good beds. The owner of the place is a very nice man. He is very willing to help. Only con was that the internet was a bit shaky: sometimes it worked fine, sometimes it did not. I can recommend this place.

I'm not picky and I don't stay in the room much when I travel, so this is one very fine choice. It's cheap and in the middle of kinda everything. Bed was big and shared bathroom and toilet were clean. Recommend for ones who don't wanna spend a lot on money and time on a hotel.

There was a bad smell the lobby and because the towels and bed covers were stored there, they smelled bad too. The place and the room looked shabby, but everything worked fine (ac, wifi, toilets) . Toilets and showers were clean and good though and staff was very kind. Still, would not recommend it.

Stayed here 9 nights. It is located in an excellent location. Close to the backpacker area without being right in the centre of it. Heaps of local eateries and mini marts within very easy walking distance. The staff were friendly and professional. Although that being said some could be quite noisy during the day. The room I had did not...

The guesthouse is located in a strategic part close to the heritage area and buses to go to Penang Hill, Air Itam and the Gurney area Buddhist Temples. At check in, Tony gave us several maps and lots of personal, useful information about transport and places to eat. We stayed in the rooms across the road from the main reception....

I stayed here for my solo traveling to Penang on June 2016. I remembered that I arrived at 7.30 pm in the evening and it seems I was the last guest to be arrived there. The only staff there immediately processed my check in, it seemed that he already know me without me giving him my printed booking document. After...
