Amazing place! Great food and great service in a super location away from the overdeveloped sister street... going back very, very soon! We had a mixed of local and western food (travelling with children) and we all licked our plates. What a find!

I've been to 17 countries this year and I can honestly say this was the worst service I've ever had and the food was even worse. Would have thought the couldn't mess up fried rice but when I tasted it...I wouldn't feed it to my enemy's dog. They refused to take it off the bill even though I wasn't happy...

It's my favorite place to stay when in Penang. Quiet, peaceful and cheap. That is if they have single rooms available, otherwise you end up paying quite a good sum for a huge room with not much inside. Toilet and shower outside free WiFi inside. Do you need anything more. It's run by a bunch of lovely older people who...

Stayed on the ground floor double room (no. 5) for 38 MR per night for 2 people. Room is quite stuffy even with the fan and the bathrooms downstairs leave a little to be desired ( shower facing onto urinal...) however, staff are great, price is reasonable and the toilets and shower upstairs are good and clean. All in all...

Stayed here for two nights in a big, clean comfortable room. Good staff, free wifi, bed sheets and towels were provided free of charge. Also provided taxi to airport, a bit pricy though (but we wanted a taxi at 4am so maybe thats why). Food was ok, but not that great, you're probably better of eating somewere else.

The guesthouse is situated in the historic Chinese building which is really nice. Rooms are quite big and comfortable. There is also a dormitory which is cheap, but still comfortable and clean. The staff is extremely polite and helpful. Although, once we had a conversation with the owner because of the problems with the Internet connection and he wasn't polite...

The food is just above average but the service is great. We've eaten there twice now and it is relatively cheap. The man who served us was very friendly and helpful. I'd go again if in George Town, its ideal for a quick and affordable bit to eat.

I normally had my morning coffee at the Oriental Guest House and without any doubt the services offered are no less than a 5-star hotel. An extremely clean environment and attended by a very polite, friendly and professional host Mr Ken. Keep it up !

We've eaten here several times but never stayed in the guesthouse. So this is only a cafe review. This is a good solid choice for breakfast or lunch, For either meal I particularly like the croissant with tuna and melted cheese. More conventional western breakfasts are pretty good, too. Lunchwise, I've also had some tasty fried rice at the W&O.The...
