I have stayed here before and the rooms are still very clean, and comfortable too. Room prices have gone up, but are still in my opinion good value for a budget Guest House in the area. It is within the core George Town UN Heritage Zone which has resulted in rapidly rising prices since it was designated. Property values are...

If you are looking for a silent and unexpensive place (50 Ringitt) to have a really good rest during the night this is the place! The staff is extrimely friendly and helpful, always smiling and accomodating. I didn't like the rooms of the ground floor since there was the light from the street coming inside, so I chosed room 17...

We paid just 100 ringgit for a family room for four of us with excellent wifi, aircon and private bathroom. The room was basic but large and we were very comfortable in our bunk beds. The owner was very kind and helpful and gave us great advice on local transport including the cheapest ways to get about town. The location...

Great place for 50 RM , good clean and big room. Would go for air-conditioning next time though as room gets damp due to weather. Staff are really friendly and helpful. place was always cleaned every day. Location was great away from the madness and noise of love lane but close enough to town.

simple, clean and quiet rooms with wifi and the most kindhearted receptionist. good place to get a good night's sleep. it's located on a fairly quiet part of the street, with loads of places to eat, drink or visit just steps away.

60 Ringgit for a clean decent room. We had aircon and a fan with a long Asian bathroom. The room has a desk and a couple chairs, and there was a window .. which seems rare in Malaysian budget rooms. There were a couple common areas to hang out in .. a fridge at the entrance with drinks, alcoholic and...

The location is good, right in the center and close to the red garden food court. The rooms are simple and clean. There is hot water and a fan. All windows had a grid against mosquitos, but the windows (the ones on the groundfloor anyway) face a blind wall, so don't expect a view. Helpfull staff. Good value for money.

I was so well taken care off at Star Lodge. I arrived very late and the only hotel that was sweet enough to take me in. It was extremely safe there and I couldn't fault the place one bit. You get a lot for your money here...especially for Penang.

The staff are all very welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. They will go out of their way to help. The rooms are very simple but clean and most have air-conditioning. The location is very central and the prices are very reasonable. They also book trips and tickets if required and you do not get ripped off. I have been here many...
