Been here twice. Booked the resident package. Compliments to the staffs at feast village. The breakfast at feast village is the best you can find. Slightly disappointed with the dinner as it was buffet only. Personally not so keen on chinese food @ uncle lim. Would try fisherman's cove on next visit. Would suggest some entertainment like jazz / piano... More

We were very impressed with pretty much everything on the island. We checked in at Marina Island and then lounged on a bed while waiting for the boat after our welcome drink. The boat was quick and we were warmly welcomed onto the island by several members of staff. We had a personal introduction with another welcome drink and we... More

Undeniably expensive but - there is but in everything - it is worth what u are paying for. Since we touched down at the Marina Island for registering and waiting for the speedboat to take us to the island, we were received warmly by the bell boy and the receptionist. Just returned from a wonderful 6 nights , which was no way long enough. We're fortunate that we were upgraded to a spa village ( 50th Birthday gift from resort management, this was such a treat). The garden villas were I must say also lovely! The resort offers such a peaceful ambience. Even though Easter school hols, very few children,... More

Pangkor Laut truly lives up to every expectation one would have of a luxury hotel and resort. We had a great baby moon and anniversary weekend recently. From arrival (greeted by the friendly Serena) to a beautiful floral/sculpture arrangement (painstakingly put together by Nurul & Shida) in our room and all the friendly waiting staff we encountered (especially at Uncle... we came for a week of peace and tranquility and it far exceeded our wildest imaginings. Even though it can house some 500 guests we felt as if we were the only guests and the wonderful staff cannot be praised highly enough. Manager Mr Ong treated us like long lost friends. Highly recommended.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Pangkor Laut is a privately owned island located three miles off the West Coast of Malaysia along the Straits of Malacca. This piece of paradise has been 2 million years in the making, and here you will find one of the world's premier resorts nestling in the shade of forest giants as old as the land. You will find no other resorts - just secluded bays curled around pristine beaches, evening skies woven with colour, and a deep sense of serenity reserved exclusively for our guests. A combination of luxury, natural beauty and age-old wilderness woven together to produce an environment where peace and magically memorable moments are the currency. Of the island's 300 acres, only a fraction has been developed to house the Resort and its eight Estates. Wooden buildings blend seamlessly into the forest as if nature had been the architect dictating how walls curve around foliage, and roofs open up to allow trees to continue on their journey to the sky. Nature is respected here, almost revered, and it rewards visitors in ways that simply need to be experienced. ... more   less
