Service was good. Hotel staff helpful. Rooms were comfortable. Goid lication for food. Ipoh parade is walking distance. Was given room at the 1st level and noise from the traffic outside was unbearable at night. Only standard TV channels. No cable channels.

Located very centrally but could be a little difficult to find as the hotel front is quite small. The entrance is in between Maybank and Shell petrol kiosk. Room is clean with enough space to walk. Hotel staff not very friendly. Note that you will need to pay extra (RM60 for 2 hours) if you request for late checkout. Beyond... More

Stayed here a week ago. Location is good. Walking distance to most of the famous eateries in town. Room is clean with basic amenities. Water pressure is good allowing you an enjoyable shower. Few parking slots available in front of the hotel and another open ground next to the hotel which is accessible thru the back of the hotel which... More

We stayed at this hotel for a night to enjoy the various food that Ipoh is famous for. The rooms were big, clean, and comfortable with all the usual amenities like LCD TV, Fridge, Air-Cond, Towels, Kettle, Free drinking water etc. Room condition was very good and looks refurbished and new. The location was fantastic, right in the centre of... More

Tried a few hotels since my last review. Best food just within walking distance. Highly recommended if you travel without own transport. 3 big name dim sum a street behind. Petrol station mart just next door and Maybank on the right.

This hotel is OK. The service was average and they don't provide breakfast which is a must with young children (they used to have breakfast). The rooms were ok. But the biggest let downs were the car parking which was average. But the worst thing was since the room windows were not sealed we were inhaling petrol fumes from the... More

Ipoh downtown hotel is quite recent (or recently renovated). The room was really clean and the bathroom is definitly of a good standard (I'm talking European standard) which is definitly rare in Asia. It's located close to some good bar and restaurant. Parking is limited and quite little (even with a MyVi I had difficulty to fit in)

Checked in to a room that was wonderfully decorated and my wife was very pleasantly surprised. Hotel room is also very clean and spacious, it was a very comfortable stay for a pax of 3. First time I stay here with my family, we like here is clean & comfort & safety. The staff here is helpful and friendly. They will show the direction and help to call up TAXI. The location here is best for eating & near by F & B HAWKER. For women, shopping center like Ipoh Prade is the best.

I am an older traveler. I first went to Ipoh in the 1970s and recently returned after 41 years. Of course many things have changed, but I was pleasantly surprised that much was as I remembered from my last visit in 1975. Especially so the Old Town. My three nights (and two additional nights later) at the Ipoh Downtown were... More
