For most of the 2 days of our stay, we were the only guests, so the kampung was very quiet. On arrival we we quickly shown to our chalet and given plenty of local information including a map. We were told that the neighbour who cooks the (optional) evening meal was ill, so could not cater for us, but we're...

My family of six spent an unusual three nights at Pasir Belanda from 12 to 15 Dec 2016. Situated out of Kota Bharu town among kumpong houses, Pasir Belanda offers a taste of kumpong life and will appeal to those seeking something unusual. Don't expect four star hotel luxuries . Expect, instead, local life, living and eating like a local....

As overseas travellers we have had limited experience with home stays in Malaysia and we're looking forward to experiencing kampung life in this part of the east coast of Malaysia. We had been warned that visiting in the wet season was potentially a risk with being trapped in your accommodation if it was raining all day. We were fortunate during...

A nice kampung with friendly staff, a pool and a very nice playground for kids. The only thing is that they are overpricing all extra's. Diner can be arranged but its being served at the neighbours at 19.00. And is already on the table when you arrive. So better not be late. Laundry service per item instead of per kg...

Small, quiet and beautifull place to stay. Only seven bungalows in the middle of a quiet part of town. Biggest tip: You can rent bikes and go on a bike trip using the hotels planned route on map with route information. This trip was absolutely amazing and a great way to meet the locals.

The resort located at suburb of kota bharu with pool, swing, seesaw, tree house and river. Hosts are nice and hospitable. Ideal place to relax and spend holiday! Recommend the bikeride(they provide bikes for hire)+boat to explore the nature and local life of Kelantan, it takes about 4 hours if you follow the instruction provided by the host. On the...

Excellent service, even before my stay started. The staff at Pasir Belanda were friendly & they catered to my requests & needs. I especially enjoyed the pool & the cycling (route prepared by the owner himself). I wanted a getaway from the city life, & that was what I got!! :) No issues at all. Thank you, Pasir Belanda!

Small resort with rustic chalet cabins set in well cared for lawns and garden. It is a few km out of town in a village. Location is ideal for rest and comfort and gives easy access by taxi (20 ringit) to Kota Baru town. Booking was easy direct to office manager - Sukini who was very helpful and responsive to...

Pasir Belanda is located in a kampung and is very quiet and pleasant. It is nice if you have a car (we rented one at the airport) as it is far away from town. The bungalows are nice, very basic and small. The garden is so beautiful. One evening we ate at Macik's. It was a bit expensive but still...

Don’t know why people are raving about this resort. OK the bungalows have a nice set up in the garden, but the rooms itself are just mediocre. No drinks in the fridge. No beer for sale in the resort (because we’re living in a Muslim country they told) but does this also mean that its forbidden to serve this to...
