Stayed here for a week last August at the end of a 3 week trip across Malaysia. It was the perfect place to unwind. Rooms are not luxurious but are comfortable, although you might have to share it with the wildlife (cats, lizards, and the odd cockroach). We were given spray to get rid of any creepy crawlies, which visit...

My wife and I just returned from our third stay at the Temple Tree. Everything was just as good as it was the previous two times. The staff were super friendly. The food was fantastic - I think we ate every meal for the week at the Temple Tree and the Bon Ton. And the atmosphere was as peaceful and...

We have an awesome stayed in Temple Tree Plantation house 5. We stayed there during the CNY and the price almost on par with 5 star resorts. Fortunately, we get what we wanted and the suite room exceeded our expectation. It was very comfortable and given us a unique and luxury feels. Please note that this resort is full of...

We stayed her for 9 nights over Christmas and New Year 2012 in Plantation House 6. We had a very spacious apartment with 1 double room & en suite on one side of the lounge area and a twin room & en suite on the other side. The whole place is decorated with style and an eye for colour though...

We stayed here in January 2011 (I have been lax with adding this review, so couldn't put in the proper date that we stayed) for one night at the end of our 2 month honeymoon (we stayed at Bon Ton for 4 nights at the start of our honeymoon). It was wonderful! We expected that being the 'little sister' of...

Lovely concept - the "rooms" are dotted through the grounds, and are all part of refurbished houses in Malay/Chinese/Colonial styles. The service was excellent, and consistently so throughout our stay. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with the unique design and decor adding to the charm of the place! That said, it included all modern amenities you'd expect to see...

Temple Tree is a cluster of refurbished old houses. Each house is unique on it's own. We stayed in Colonial 4 which is an upstairs unit with 1 king bedded room and 1 twin sharing room. Upon reaching upstairs, we were greeted with a bath tub in between the 2 rooms. Unfortunately we were not able to enjoy it we...

I found the Temple Tree at Bon Ton via Trip Advisor last year and it sounded fabulous so booked here for three nights for the end of my trip to Langkawi with my boyfriend. On arrival we were greeted by friendly and knowledgeable hotel staff and given a delicious welcome drink of pineapple and mint tea. When showed to our...

The idea of mixing our visit to Langkawi with beach and jungle seemed a nice idea. We stayed at the Temple Tree at Bon Ton as the jungle retreat. The buildings are very nice old Malay style houses but unfortunately we stayed in Plantation number 4 which was very dark. Additionally the roof leaked when upstairs was taking a shower....

We thank you for your constructive points, and we sincerely apologise for the leaking from the above bathroom, during your stay with us in November, this was unfortunate of course but we rectified the problem, as we try to do with any of our maintenance issues. In Bon Ton and Temple Tree resorts we have always provide a simple continental...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Though classified as B&B/Inn, Temple Tree is actually more of a boutique resort of many cultures, an eclectic mix of heritage chic...Antique buildings of Chinese, Malay, Indian and Eurasian origin, make up this 8 villa hotel, with 8 rooms & 6 suites now open. Each building has, over its 70-110 year old history, created its own heart and soul. Hopefully we have given due respect to each of these family homes with the restoration process. These houses are now the continuing the story of people who live in them, our guests. ... more   less
