I know the title is a bit misleading but let me summarise the pros & cons to this place:
- stunning island, turquoise blue waters.
- it's a tiny island with only 2 resorts. You're free to roam both places anytime :)
If you've been to Maldives or even Redang or Perhentian Island for the matter, you can totally give this a miss!! No doubt waters are clear but the species of marine life that can be encountered during snorkeling is much limited. I didn't even see...More
We went to the common area of Alangs resort and requested for a song to Yap the Manager but he was rude. As a manager I hope Yap is more accommodating. But the rest of the crew are nice. The resort is also beautiful.
I've been back to Alang's Rawa twice in a year because it's simply the best for a relaxing beach holiday. I love that the beach is just right at our doorstep, and we could just sit at our porch and stare at the pristine jade...More

I would double check that they’ll even be open then as I know they close certain times of the year because of the rainy season. There’s not much else to do there if it is rainy and you’re stuck inside. The real draw is the beautiful beach and snorkeling, but the facilities at Alang are basic.
