I stayed here on a solo writing retreat recently and was really happy with my experience. The compound is charming, with the sound of crickets at dusk, and frogs singing just outside your room, with rice fields beyond - it's like a little slice of Bali, which was actually the intended effect, I learned, after chatting with Kali, the owner...

They have moved the chalets to a place called Kg Air Papan. This is my first time sending comments to a blog. I felt so happy that I want to share my experience with everybody. The only reason I stayed at this hotel was that it was recommended by the Rough Guides. My expectaion was to get very basic but clean budget accommodation with air con for one night for which I would pay RM80. What I got was very basic, budget accommodation with air-con not working, cobwebs, insect and frogs in the room with...
