We booked a weekend stay here, for a couple. The hotel was close to empty, but despite that we were give a room in which 1) my husband had to fix the shower before we could use it; 2) the key unlocked the door from the outside, but not from the inside, which we discovered when we got up in...

Staff couldn't have been more welcoming and friendly. Andrew behind the bar was always smiling :-) The rooms were huge, beds comfy and all our rooms had mosquito nets and even the extra bonus of tea/coffee facilities in room. Plus wifi which you could buy - in our experience a luxury not everywhere had this facility. Yes of course it...

We stayed here 2 nights while hiking the Zomba plateau. Annie's provided us with the basics: a room (033) with a good big bed, a mosquito net, secure electricity (which is valuble in Malawi at present), a fan and a workable bathroom. The room is kept very clean by the housekeeping staff. And if you are in an executive room...

This should be a nice hotel but it needs a lot of attention and much better management. The staff were very pleasant but failed to respond to some of the problems with the rooms. There was no hot water in any of our rooms to start with, and none in some of the rooms for the several nights of our...

A group of us stayed here recently for one night as we travelled around Malawi. Of all the places we stayed this was one of the better ones. Very nice staff, spacious and clean room with good sized en-suite shower room, but when wet the floor was very slippery. The buffet restaurant was also clean and served wholesome food. A...

We planned to stay here for two nights but after a run in with soup that can only be described as the most disgusting thing I have ever tasted, we decided to change our stay to only one night. This was lucky considering the lackluster service we received, very uncomfortable beds and the fact that the hotel guide tried to...

The staff was nice. Our executive room had two beds which was nice. However, the tile floor in the bathroom had some broken tiles that could have been damaging. I wore slippers to mitigate the potential threat to my feet. I wanted to pay via credit card, but their service was not working. Fortunately, I had some cash, but had...

The superior room was very expensive for what we paid for it, there was no shower curtain so the bathroom flooded when we showered, the room was also very small and did not really have a proper window. The hotel is also quite a walk away from town and the reception staff kept on trying to sell us walking tours...

The hotel is a beautifully situated rambling old colomial building at the foot of Zomba Mountain, set in a lovely garden with colourful tropical trees and views of the mountain. The public areas are very pleasant and tastefully decorated, but the bedrooms could do with quite a lot of attention. Mine was poorly lit and felt a bit gloomy, and...
