The Safari Lodge is in a nice setting although it is a long walk from the town of Senga Bay so if you want to do much more than sit by the pool or beach you may be a bit disappointed. The views from the chalets are spectacular, the gardens nice and the pool small. We thought it was a...

This place is beautifully located, but shows signs of poor maintenance. The toilets were run down and filled with bugs, the pool was a bit green and the general appearance was shabby. We were charged MKW1000 each to enter, then another MKW1000 to swim and another MKW1000 to borrow a kayak, and we purchased lunch. We felt that the accommodation...

Dear kateloveday, I am happy that you liked our location so much. As to the swimming pool. It was completely repainted only last week. And filled with water again just a few days ago. Due to the power shortages (that you must know about) we have not been able to pump enough to make the water a 100% clear. This...

We really enjoyed our stay at Safari Beach Lodge. Nice staff, good breakfast, and the rooms are convenient and clean. The food was lovely and so are the views. The monkeys can be a bit cheeky, but the staff is around to help out.

Nice lodge with odd little campsite out the back. Electricity available and ablutions are basic but functional. Full use of the pool and internet is available for free. It was a little more expensive than others, however it is quiet and located at the good beach.

The place has incredible views and the sunsets are spectacular. Though the staff are very friendly, like in many places in Malawi, the standards are really poor for the amount of money you pay. The toilets in the room we stayed in had no seat, the shower was scary to say the least, especially when you are sharing with another...

Dear TamaraNiamh, How nice that you liked the setting of our lodge, the beautiful views and our friendly staff. As to the bathroom. You unfortunately stayed in a room where the bathroom was indeed in need of a touch up. This touch up was done several weeks after you stayed there (long before you posted this review) and it is...

Great authentic place with very friendly people and wonderful food. Wow, a breath of fresh air here! A beautiful big garden with lots of nice plants and trees. In the garden alone I spotted 4 new birds for my personal list. And I loved the sound of the Eagles flying over frequently! The views of Lake Malawi are really great...

120$ ? Seriously ? I will never come back there. It was far away too expensive. The chalet was very very old, not cleaned. The breakfast was so so. The beach was not accessible and cleaned. I changed my accommodation to go to Cool Runnings and it was much cheaper for a better service, beach included.

I am not entirely sure how to react to this very negative anonymous review that is also your only post on Tripadvisor and mentions a direct competitor in the review. But I will try. We think that we have a wonderful lodge in a very privileged setting. Safari Beach Lodge is located inside a 10 hectare forest reserve full of...

We perceived Safari Beach Lodge as a very quiet and relaxing place, a kind of beautiful small paradise at Senga Bay. The food was very good and the staff very very helpful with our 2 small kids, e.g. that we had time to read a book when they were playing at the nice pool. We really liked the baboons as...

A group of us stayed at this lodge. I really enjoyed the setting (beautiful beach for sitting, with a nearby fishing village). The bar (called the Platform) was closed, but we sat there anyway at sunset with a bottle of wine. The sunset was one of the most beautiful I have ever witnessed. The food in the restaurant was pretty...

Dear JaQST, It is really good to hear that you liked our platform bar (which can be opened outside of the normal operating hours on request), the beach and our food. That the baboons scared you is unfortunate. They are part of the natural environment and are quite harmless. But sometimes they do run around a lot and are very...
