The atmosphere of Hotel Victoria is neither warm nor professionel. The rooms are darkish and rather noisy. The service in general is quite poor and very much unlike the relaxed, smiley and pleasant service you receive in most of Malawi. Furthermore the location is not very favourable compared to other hotels in central Blantyre.

This hotel is not good. The walls are filthy, the rooms' carpets are old and dirty and the linen had stains on it. The bathroom was the best part about the room - how often do you see that comment? There are literally mosquitoes everywhere, with paltry mitigation by the hotel. The restaurant is average at best and the WiFi...

The room was really good value for money, very nice, clean and comfortable. The passages and weird set-up not as much, we had to take the lift to the second floor, then walk down a dimly lit (to hide the dirty walls?) passage, and up a flight of stairs, to get to our 3rd floor room. The food was really...

Nice business hotel, close to the city center, with its own attached meeting complex. Although the hotel was nearly full when I stayed, the staff were attentive and the hotel was relatively quiet in the evenings. The breakfast and lunch were both excellent, rooms were clean and comfortable. For all that it is, its a good value for the price....

Nice business hotel, close to the banks and city centre. Very good value at around a 100 $ for a huge suite. Not really stylish, clean enough, good staff. Please be aware that is a totally alcohol free place, does not even have a bar. Two tv sets into the suite, just a few channels. Free wifi, fruit juice, water...

My first visit to this hotel. I can't compare it to any others in Blantyre. The walls were dirty and the outside of the hotel is not very neat. The room was spacious and clean. Very large, modern bathroom. The breakfast was average, but not un-appetising. I was very pleasantly surprised by the dinner in the hotel Restuarant. Very good...

My initial impressions when we checked in was good... Friendly and helpful staff. Room was very small. Linen and towels bright white and of very good quality. Aircon and kettle did not work. Room was on first floor above the restaurant, smell of food through the extractor fans outside my window really made me feel sick! Very early (before 5am)...

The hotel looks unpre-posing from the outside but the staff make this a very good place to stay. They were courteous and went out of their way to be helpful. The food in the restaurant was good and the room was clean, comfortable and very spacious. An excellent business hotel

The carpets in rooms and lobbies were disgusting. Towels and linen were grubby and grey. Breakfast room had cockroaches crawling along the floor. The Hotel had no BAR because the owners were Muslims, who are they to dictate whether I should be allowed to have an alcoholic drink. Check out they informed me they did not take MasterCard and then...
