We stayed here just for one night out of four spent in Diego. It is a good hotel with swimming pool and European standards. The food is nothing special, rooms are ok and have air conditioning. we found it expensive and were quite upset by the kind of people present in the swimming pool, mainly white men with two or...

Thanks to weeks of trouble and strikes of Air Madagascar we got stuck in Ansiranana (alias Diego Suarez, or in short just 'Diego'), and the Grand Hotel was the third hotel in a row where we stayed during our prolonged stay. The hotel is situated at the main street in plain city center. The city center of this small city...

I stayed here and at Victoria hotel, a recently and tastefully refurbished stylish boutique hotel. In most cities, I prefer smaller boutique hotels in convenient locations so thought I would prefer that and at 1/3 the price! However, the town of Diego Suarez is very small and very poor with dilapidated everything, and a few feet away from the Main...

Better than a 3 star hotel and the best in Diego! Central location, great service, impeccable cleanliness, very comfortable rooms and 4-star facilities, swimming pool available at any time, the restaurant is also very good. Recommended.

Great central located in the city. Clean and plenty of any feature can be needed. Restaurant is really nice and food very good. Friendly staff....highly recommended for your stay in Diego. The city is not yet developed for tourism but can offer a lot....excursions can be arranged easily.

Stayed one night at the Grand. Unfortunately compared to the hotel in Tana we have been staying at, was slightly below par. The room, where reasonable, and the food was good. My major concern would be the price, rather a lot for a standard room, for one night, Ar294000.00. Otherwise, a pleasant stay, nice swimming pool, reasonable wifi, albeit sporadic...

We stayed here one night and found the hotel pleasant. The accommodations had the typical amenities. The rooms were large and clean. There is a nice streetside bar that is pleasant in the evening. We ate at the resaurant becasue there was nothing else in town that was open that seemed appealing. Surprisingly the food and service was very good....

After starting our holiday in Antananarivo, Diego Suarez and the Grand Hotel was a breath of fresh air. Diego is a really cool, buzzing place and the Grand Hotel is a fantastic place to stay. The rooms are fairly basic but they're big and very clean and the pool area and outside restaurant are stunning. Also, the staff were incredibly...
