We stayed at Anjajavy in September 2016 for 5 nights as part of our honeymoon to Madagascar. It's a superb hotel, with exceptional service, located in paradise! There's lots (too much?!) to do at Anjajavy, most of it included in the price (unless you want to be extravagant and go deep sea fishing or hire a private boat). There are...

Great birds with several species more easily found here than elsewhere in Madagascar. Excellent opportunities to see, observe, and photograph lemurs, birds, chameleons, crabs, and other fascinating wildlife. Extremely well-managed reserve and hotel with outstanding food, excellent guides, a wide assortment of activities, air conditioned two-story bungalows overlooking the Mozambique channel, and tea time to relax and watch lemurs, bee-eaters,...

We enjoyed a peaceful week here in this remote place(you can only take light planes to get here). Room: rooms are all two stories villas, with one comfort double bed in the ground floor and two single beds in the second floor, perfect if you bring your kids here as well. Food: very tasty, the staff were very attentive and...

the hotel and reserve can only be reached via a small plane and after you land, you drive through the forest to reach the hotel. the lemurs peer at you through the trees, to welcome new guests. The large forest reserve is behind the delightful villas and is just full of lemurs - who come out of the forest and...

Arriving at Anjajavy after 2.5 weeks travelling around Madagascar was like arriving on another planet - well it was another time zone. From the moment we stepped off the private charter plane at Anjajavy until we left we were treated to luxury, great food and amazing wildlife experiences. The staff were fantastic and the ethos of the management is to...

My family and I visited in August 2016. This is a beautiful destination, the resort is simply stunning, hidden away on a nature reserve with a stretch of amazing coastline, several private beaches all undisturbed natural paradises, countless species of flora and fauna. The facilities are superb, the main dining room for all the meals is transformed several times during...

Outstanding hotel with plenty of activities to keep us busy for 3 nights. The walks are fun and educational. Seeing the hairy land crabs, many species of lemurs, tsingy forest and the other unusual plants was a once in a lifetime experience. The service is outstanding and really enjoyed the afternoon teas. A good visit to the village where many...

Prior to going to this place, I read the TripAdvisor reviews and thought to myself 'there is no way this place can be that good'. Woah woah woah! This place is paradise!! 1. Staff - Fantastic! They are well trained, which definitely doesn't seem to be the norm in Madagascar. They are helpful and gracious. Because you don't tip throughout...

If I ever get to Heaven, it will be something like the Oasis garden here - I shall be lying back in a deck chair with a cup of tea and a homemade cake, watching Coquerel's Sifaka families leaping about in the trees over my head (they are a fascinating species of large lemur); the lovely Malachite Kingfisher will be...
