When you think "luxury tented camp in Africa" you need go no further than Campi Ya Kanzi, which is Swahili for "Hidden Treasure".....and what a fitting name! Tsavo West National Park and the Maasai Conservancy are jewels of Kenya, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time with Luca and Antonella (YES - Italians in Kenya!!!), and their lovely staff while we...

Campi ya Kanzi is a very special place. Run by Luca, you'll have the most wonderfull host and a fantastic source of knowledge. You'll meet people who will show you their hills, their plains, their culture. Pristine. The only flaw- ever since leaving there, the food at the other places could never quite catch up. Hmmmmm

I was only able to stay one evening, but it was wonderful. Great, but not luxurious accommodations, pleasant service, amazing views and wildlife.Mt. Kilimanjaro! Very nice evening game drive with sundowners, led by excellent guides.

My husband and I and two adult sons spent an idyllic week at magical Campi Ya Kanzi. We were most warmly greeted at the airstrip and the drive to the lodge gave us a first, wonderful sense of the surroundings of Campi Ya Kanzi. We immediately felt the magic of the Chyulu hills-- green and luscious as promised! When we...

We spent Thanksgiving week at Campi Ya Kanzi, and everything was perfect, from the weather, to the wonderful hosts and staff, to the top notch accommodations, to the food (!!!), and lest I forget, to the safari itself. We saw all the wildlife we could have hoped for, and in addition took a series of marvelous hikes, including breakfasts in...

Very nice place to stay, confortable, excellent staff, very professional. The fact that the owners are involved in your daily activities gives a special note to a very gratifying safari experience. Depending on time of the year the game drive can lack of a lot of fauna but the staff covers it with all sort of very nice activities that...

Before I booked, I read the reviews and almost every single one says this is spectacular - and IT IS!!! Our room/tent was luxurious, but in a rustic, safari kind of way and private - which was why we were there - we overlooked the watering hole all the way at the end. The food and service was as top...

When we arrived at Camp ya Kanzi's dirt airstrip and were met by our Maasai driver in his colorful robes I knew we were in for something special. When we arrived at the camp and saw all the beautiful Maasai workers, as well as Luca, the owner, lined up in front of the gorgeous thatched roof lodge to greet us,...

Returned to Campi Ya Kanzi for the second time, after staying there in April 2007. Was glad to find out that other than the great safari game-rides, Safari walks, beautiful sun-downs, Kilimanjaro view, superb Italian cuisine and the kind hospitality, they have built a big swimming pool. The staff in Campi will make you feel very welcomed and will be...

Campi ya Kanzi is simply a magical place that you will never forget. For those looking to take the road less traveled and still have an amazing safari experience, this is definitely the place for you! From the moment you arrive you will be greeted by Lucca (the owner of the lodge) and Maasai locals who provide some of the...
