I stayed 3 nights there mid August. Flying from California was exhausting after a long-haul flight. Thanks to a receptionist lady she allowed me to stay and get some sleep in a temporary room until my room was available. During our 3 nights stay we experienced several barge-ins into our room by the hotel staff. They knock on the door and before you have the time to answer they open the door with their key and enter. One time my sister was in the shower and a man (the hotel staff) came into our room looking for a baby basinet in the closet (I'm guessing for the other guests) and scared my sister so badly. During our stay we charged our lunch and dinners to the room, and when I was checking out I saw there were multiple extra charges for the total of like 40 000 or 50 000 tenge that I never ordered. They just added them to your bill. Total scam! Please take photos of the receipts for the meals you charged to the rooms. They don't give you the copies when signing to your room. The staff has zero hospitality training and the breakfast servers/waiters are never happy and have these angry expressions on their faces. I paid a lot of money to enjoy my stay in the Motherland and it is not my fault that you are not happy at the job. I shouldn't be inconvenienced by that. Also, the shower is awful, water leaks outside the base. They also called my room after midnight and woke me up when I had to get up at 4am for my flight. I was not reimbursed for the overcharge.

what a wonderful resort! surrendered by golf course, hotel is located next to the lake, with picturesque Mountain Views, amazing recently renovated facilities, cozy rooms (with shataffs in the bathroom, additional benefit for middle eastern visitors). really nice spa, with Hamman steam, several indoor and outdoor pools, gym and kids club. all hotel staff are super friendly and helpful. we had a minor noise related issue and manager Aidyn went out of his way to help us find a solution, highly appreciated. go for deluxe room, as standard room is on a smaller side (if you are staying with kids). loved our stay, will be back for sure <3

We were at the hotel for the 10th time. I really love this hotel. Beautiful nature, magnificent park and SPA. We always take the Grand Delux room. Very convenient with a child. Located close to the spa, there is a bathtub and three balconies. The kitchen is not bad. I like the Moxie bar and the à la carte service in a large restaurant. The Astau restaurant has very fatty dishes, but the portions are large. This time we came to celebrate my birthday. I indicated this in advance when booking, but unfortunately, the hotel did not react in any way, and did not even give me a piece of cake. By the way, I don’t eat sweets, but some attention would be nice. In the cafe at the spa we ordered sparkling wine and they served us stale sparkling wine. We have had our worst experience in this hotel. The staff is very in cooperative. We were a group of three couples and had an early morning flight and arrived at the hotel early morning. We requested the hotel staff to give us rooms earlier even if on charges. We were told that the hotel is fully booked and the as per the hotel policy, we will get the room only at 3.00 pm. We had travelled the whole night and were exhausted. The hotel allotted rooms to guests who arrived after us but did not give us early check in. The hotel has been very rude and cannot be considered for a comfortable stay. They gave us one room at 11.00 pm between six people and charged us US$ 161 which is their regular tariff for one day. The hotel allotted rooms to other guests who arrived much later than us but did not allot the room to us. They charged us separately for breakfast even after charging us for the one room whereas the breakfast should have been included in the extra charges. I have travelled to number of places almost all over the world but this is my worst hotel experience. So much so that the reception staff snubbed us and stopped taking our calls for room request. HOTEL NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL

We had booked 2 rooms for 7 nights each. The stay was mostly pleasant. The breakfast is good and on a couple of occasions we even got breakfast packed aince we had an early start to the day. The room is spacious and includes a balcony. The view of the snowcapped mountains was great. Though something about the way the AC works makes the room feel warm and stuffy. On most nights we felt this issue in both rooms. They room would feel cool only by early morning. The housekeeping is a hit or miss. On some days we found the bathroom floor had not been cleaned. Then little things like tea bags and stirrwrs would not be restocked. Even usee coffee mugs were not replaced with fresh ones. To those who wish to visit the city often, please bear in mind that traffic delays in Almaty are common. Though the vehicles are moving in an orderly fashion, it does still take time to commute to and fro between the hotel and the city.

Was here for a few days for a conference. The location is far from anything, which makes it good for having a conference. The grounds are absolutely beautiful, surrounded by green and mountains. It snowed while we were there.
The hotel is big, and it is from Soviet times, but well-remade by Swissotel. The rooms have excellent views. The hotel is also nice and quiet.
The bathrooms are a bit small and cramped. I like that they leave 2 big bottles of water for you everyday. Not small ones.
You can also open your terrace door and walk out on your room terrace. This is nice.
The breakfast was good. I would suggest fresh-squeezed juice options, but I liked the detox water a lot. The pizza was also very good for lunch.
The conference went well. However, the conference rooms are airless and without windows or views.
The sauna/steam room/hamam/pool is also excellent and well worth using.
Overall, a good stay.

This is a luxury resort - however as the name suggests it is a wellness resort - meaning it is meant for some treatments. The bathrooms have various handles/stands that are meant to assist the sick/ elderly - which feels strange for normal guests.
The Hill view room was not worth the tariff. We were given the room right at the end which does not have a great view. The rooms further down would have a better view.
There were constant noise from room above which was a pain- even after complaining, the hotel staff did nothing to assist.
The dining area is a vast with amazing options for breakfast - however menu is extremely limited for south Asian travelers. Their burgers were excellent though.
The staff were attentive but did not do much to go beyond to assist.
Overall a disappointing stay - would not want to stay there again.

We stayed with colleagues in this wonderful hotel during a business trip. The hotel is located in a very picturesque location, near the mountains. Even in winter it looks amazing, what about in summer :) The number of rooms is good, it feels like they are caring for and maintaining the level. Sleeping is very comfortable and the balcony offers views of the stunning mountains. Everything you need is in the room, including an iron. By the way, a pretty good set of soap accessories. The food is excellent. The buffet is very varied, everyone can find something to eat. The territory is very large, it is clear that it is looked after. I would really like to look at all this in the spring and summer. There will be a reason to come back!

We rented a deluxe hotel room for 4 nights. We traveled with a 1 year old child. The room is large and spacious. A crib was immediately provided. The room has everything you need. Breakfast buffet. In general, it does not change, but there are many positions and you can always choose different ones. Tasty. A lot of fruits. We went to dinner at the quarter restaurant. Special thanks to the waitress Erke for the service, everything went perfectly. I paid a lot of attention to the child, he was very pleased with this new dining experience for him. The dishes are well prepared. A huge number of swimming pools inside and outside. We were a little unlucky with the weather, so we didn’t try the outdoor ones, but the inside is spacious for both adults and children, with enough space for everyone. The hotel area is large, there are many places for walking. There are many different birds flying around that are interesting to watch.
What was missing for a hotel of this level: - there is no menu of pillows, if there is a need for an orthopedic one, they cannot provide one even for an additional fee - at breakfast it would be nice to have porridge without milk (there were only dairy products). If the child was lactose intolerant, it was not possible to offer porridge. To be fair: gluten-free products were - there is no outdoor playground, although the hotel is positioned as a family hotel
