The comfortable rooms are stylishly decorated in a minimalist style, with a library-style lounge and restaurants available to guests. The central location next to the railway station is a bonus, with lots of shops, cafes and restaurants in the streets nearby.

Stayed 2 nights here as Kakunodate was booked out due to cherry blossom festival. Had 2 different room types re high occupancy. The first was two single beds which was big enough for Japan however the next night was an extremely large double bed & 27 sq m room with good views of the city ( 3000 yen more) and...

On a very cold spring day it was great to make the dash from hotel to station so quickly. A warm welcome and then a choice of many restaurants upstairs in the shopping centre nearby. The room was spacious for Japanese hotels with large TV - no English channels but fun to watch Japanese game shows! Very clean and comfortable...

Good hotel just a short walk away from JR Akita station. Staff at the reception were very friendly and fast. Room was really spacious and had everything I needed. I didn't eat at the hotel so I don't know how the restaurant was. I tried to go to the bar but there was a wedding party at the same time...

All the amenities needed! If not, just ask the pleasant & most helpful staff (provided a corkscrew upon request;). Located next to the train station, it makes shopping/eating/travel very convenient. Senshu Park is also in walking distance & you may also meander through the various shopping areas and marketplaces.

Had a most wonderful stay at this hotel. It was perfectly located as it is right next to the JR station. Outside the hotel is the central bus station of Akita, and a taxi stand. Also the main shopping area of akita is located right across from the hotel. The best restaurants are also within 5 to 10 minutes walk....

Stayed one night in a twin room for 14,000 yen booked through booking.com. I liked everything about it: It is right next to the station. The room was very large with separated two double beds (firm), a proper round table with two comfortable chairs and an extra large TV . Fittings in good condition.Carpet appeared new. Bathroom with shower over...

Metropolitan Akita hotel is located directly at the train station. It is run by the JR East railway company. The hotel is new and has slightly more than 100 rooms. The rooms are modern and are measured Japanese standards generously spacious with 20m 2. They are well appointed with a comfortable bed, a seating area, a table, flat screen TV...

The hotel is close to Akita JR station and thus very convenient. Although the staff doesn't speak English very well, they are willing to offer help. I have problem with my booking for my next destination and not sure if the booking is successful or not. And the hotline of the Japanese agent only have Japanese recording that I have...

Quite poor service from Japanese standard. Upon my arrival, I dropped off my wife with three luggages at their front door as I parked my car and there was no one showed their enthusiastic to greet. There were three of front service staffs behind counter looking. During my stay, never hear one Arigato (thank you) even upon check out. Parking...
