After a nice and smooth reception we were shown our room, in the gangway to the room already sticky air, even more in the room furthermore an undefinable sweet but unpleasant smell. No possibility to open a window for fresh air (possibly in the entire...More

In this hotel it is easy to feel at home. Service is nice, as expected (we're in Japan), the rooms are comfortable and the food is really good. The buffet offers a good selection of Japanese style food, but Western style is there, too.

HI, In the immediate area not that much - it is 20+ minutes walk up Sanjo Dori to the start of Nara Park where there is lots to see (Temples, gardens, picnicking) - you can hire bikes at the hotel or at a shop on the other side of the station (cheaper) - on the left about halfway up Sanjo Doro there is the Nara information office (also one near at the station) both of whom are very helpful, there is also a nice shopping arcade which runs for some distance both left and right a little further up - the hotel is very handy for the station and trains from there run to several interesting sites such as Horyuji, on to Kyoto and back to Osaka.
