We stayed here for a night and borrowed 2 bicycles which were in very good condition. The rooms were newly refurbished but the upper bunk bed was a bit scary getting in and out of. Friendly staff with good English. A good recommendation to stay in Nara.

We stayed 3 nights here, and it was such a pleasant stay. Cozy, comfortable, and of course super clean! Bathtowel, bathsoap, shampoo, conditioner and small glasses were provided too. The kitchen was fully furnished: the utensils and spices. Electric cooker, microwave and toaster were provided. Hot and cold water were provided for free. We made instant noodle for our breakfast...

My wife and I stayed here for one night, after staying in Kyoto and before going to Koyasan. If we come back to Nara we'll stay here again. Location: Excellent for a short stay as it is 5 mins walk from JR Nara station. Room: As in the pictures from TA: clean, small but everything efficiently packed in so it...

This is highly recommended option to stay in Nara. It is very clean, close to main train / bus station. The owners are very friendly, speak excellent English and can guide you to main attractions in the town. Not to mention availability of good WIFI, kitchen and complementary tea all at a very reasonable price. I think it is an...

This place is about a 5 minute walk from JR station. The owners are genuinely friendly, keen to ensure that you enjoy your stay. Very clever use of space in the room compared to some of the larger hotel chains that have tiny rooms with only enough space for the bed. Very comfortable bed, good shower, and noise is kept...

This guesthouse is simply a gem. We decided to make Nara our base while exploring Kyoto and Osaka and could not have been happier to stay 10 days here. It is lovely to come to quieter city after the busier Kyoto and Osaka. Kazu and Noriko and staff were always keen to help. The place is incredibly clean and cute,...

We came by JR line from Osaka into JR Nara Station not the Kintetsu Nara Station. This guest house is under 10 mins walk to the right upon exiting the JR Nara Station. Easy to walk and find. We arrived about 11.30am so we left our luggage and rented the bikes for 500 yen pp per day and wandered around...

As many others have noted, this guesthouse was extremely clean and comfortable. We stayed here for two nights in August and can confirm that their air conditioning works well and blocks out any noise. The place is just a few blocks from the JR Station and within walking distance to the center of town and to Nara Park.

This was a great place to be. Having travelled for days it was good to be in a place where English was spoken. Other passengers also spoke the language. Its right next to the JR station and most of the tourist spots are close by. The owner/manager also suggested places to eat near by which were not too expensive. Even...
