We were extremely happy with their service. The hotel is located in a quiet area, next to the creek and about 20 mins walking distance to Toshogu shrine. The room is Japanese style with tatami floor and basic amenity as well as yukata (simple form of kimono you wear in the hotel) is provided. Upon arrival, we booked private outdoor... More

100m. From bus stop no.10 , Good service and nice onsen both indoor-outdoor. The keisiki cuisine is very excellent and nice service mind. You should choose the half board menu because the nikko restaurants are closed early and so far each restaurant.

My partner and I stayed for a night on the 14th October. We wish we could stay longer but we couldn't afford it. Despite the price, we felt it was worth every penny! We booked a traditional kaiseki dinner and also the private onsen as we both had big tattoos. The dinner was very interesting and the Japanese waitress did... More

TheHotel is perfect.< Wecan walked from hotel to anyplace(include nikkou station)< TheRYOKAN has typical Japanese atmosphere and good location:)< Theplace made us so move and happy.< Notalways good price ,but also greatest omotenashi and food and location!< Thanks so much! certainly I’beback)) <

We enjoyed our stay here, which included breakfast and dinner. Breakfasts were Japanese style, many courses, and as westerners we did find these challenging -- although enjoyable. Dinners were even more courses (lost count) and were delicious, with different set meals each night. We had a waiter that spoke good english for the first two nights, which was helpful... Many... We were in Japan few months ago and we travelled around the country for two weeks, one of our stops was Nikko and we stayed in this Ryokan, one of the most beautiful lodges that we were in, staff were incredibly polite, friendly and respectful, they made an effort to speak as best as they could english, explaining opening and... First of all the old employees here from the driver of the shuttle bus to the front desk personnel are friendly, welcoming to the point of over friendly that they sound desperate for guests to have a good review and to visit their old hotel again. This hotel is clean not super clean as you would notice that this place... More

The hotel is out of town in about half an hour walk from the station in a pleasant and quiet area. There are only a few places to eat at a reasonably short-ish distance from the hotel. We ordered breakfast at the hotel and had our dinner and lunch in town. The hotel staff is very helpful and obliging but... More

I had a short trip to Japan but wanted to see Nikko so we staying at the Natsukashiya Fuwari for only one night. I wish we stayed longer. We were picked up at the train station by the free shuttle bus from the hotel. It would have been a bit far to walk. I didn't see any information about the... More

This hotel was very relaxing! We stayed over Christmas weekend in Dec 2015. We arrived at 1500 the first day and arranged our dinner for that night, and a private outdoor onsen for after dinner. The overall condition of the hotel is a bit dated, but that didn't take away from our enjoyment of the facilities. There are newer hotels... More
