Stayed here several times now, and it is always good. If you can score a corner room, your set. Much larger with a separate seating area, fridge and microwave. Breakfast comes with most room rates and is excellent. Continental breakfast starts at 6 and full buffet at 630. Staff is very friendly and little or no language barrier (English). Another...

This is a nice hotel that is in a good location in Yokosuka. It's not a far walk to any of the train stations and is close to the water and to the naval base. The view rooms are nice. The room size is decent and the bathroom is good. There is a hot water pot and coffee and tea....

I was extremely pleased with our stay here. There was a problem with our booking date (at no fault of the hotel) the front desk manager, Akio Sunami, was extremely accommodating and helpful. He went out of his way to ensure my room got refunded and freed up rooms so we had somewhere to stay that night. Without his help...

We stayed at Mecure for four nights in April. Check in was easy and the staff spoke English. Since rooms were scarce in Yokosuka, I had four separate reservations that they combined into one. I had three nights with two twin bed and one night with a double bed. The clerk said I could just stay in the same room....

We very much appreciate your comments regarding your stay at the Mercure Yokosuka. It is always a pleasure to receive positive feedback. Mercure Yokosuka is very convenient to visit historical place Kamakura; It takes only about 30 minutes by walk and train to Kamakura from here. The room is typical for a Japanese business hotel - very small, very clean, and very basic. The double bed was comfortable and the non-smoking floor actually didn't smell like smoke (a great thing in Japan). The room had a small fridge and free coffee/tea. The tv was small and had 2 English channels, CNN International and Fox (not American...

If the Mercure had been my only hotel in Japan, I may have given it three stars. But after having stayed at several others, I think that in perspective it deserves four. The highlight was the front desk staff. Exceptionally helpful and friendly, and most spoke very good English. The room was tiny by American standards, but still was well...

We decided to stay at this hotel on a very last minute whim. We were literally a mid-day walk-in reservation. The woman at the front desk was more than helpful in finding us a room that could and would accomodate three people. (Three person rooms are a little difficult to come by in Japan). In any case, a great room...

Love this hotel, I've stayed here a couple other times. The breakfast buffet is amazing, the views are incredible. My last stay was on the 12th floor above the exit to the train station. I love sitting in the window watching the people go by. The hotel is beautifully maintained and very comfortable. It has a nice little quiet lounge...

I enjoyed my ten day stay at the Mercure. This is probably the best hotel in Yokosuka from what I have seen after living here for a year. I was fortunate to get one of the larger rooms with two single beds. Other rooms are much smaller. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

I would like to write and express our deep appreciation to you for your impressive comments. At Yokosuka the 23rd Annual Spring Festival at CFAY is scheduled on 20 March 2016 from 0900-1600. Yes, I agree with others that the room is small, but for a single person it certainly is more than adequate. My visit is ongoing for business, and the breakfast buffet is great, if you time it right.
