First things first, whilst this is a hotel in Hakone, it's not in the centre. It is walkable, but I'd suggest getting a taxi or shuttle from the station. At least whilst you've got your cases. It's up a gentle slope, and would take around twenty or so minutes on foot. It is a modern hot spring type hotel, catering...

The service levels match those of all other places in Japan since the people are amazing all through. The food served in your room at night (as part of the traditional japanese experience)was the best meal we ate in Japan. The hotel has public baths (Onsens) for men and women as well as traditional foot reflexology and other massage services...

Me and my wife and in laws stayed in this hotel for a weekend getaway. Here below are my review. Good This is probably one of the best hot spring hotel in the Hakone area. The scene is very beautiful and the hot spring is all natural. The hotel facilities are very new and spacious. We stayed in the best...

We stayed in this hotel for one night. I think it was the costliest stay for our whole trip in Japan, even though this hotel is among the cheapest options that you can find in Hakone hot springs area. As such, don't expect views to Mount Fuji or elaborate gardens. It's more like a value-for-money option among the hotels in...

There are a lot of options in Hakone, and I was looking for an authentic Japanese hotel/onsen experience without breaking the bank. I typically stay in hostels, so for me this was a splurge (though by US standards it was still a great deal). I decided to walk to the hotel from the Hakone-Yumoto train station (although there is an...

We had a large, charming traditional suite with a private onsen. A trip to Japan should include one of these. The hotel's staff were very helpful and friendly. However, we found the meals were very overpriced. Also, we were rushed through our expensive breakfasts, because we didn't realise that the dining room shut at 9 00 am at the weekend...

This hotel is situated in a very green environment, and the city of Hakone can be reached on foot, through the valley (not over the road the bus uses!). Bus stop is in front of the hotel, which takes you to all the sites worth visiting. The food in the hotel is really very good, and much better than expected...

I went there with a group of high school students (200) and 19 other teachers. I was not expecting much, so I was blown away when I got there. It was impeccably clean. The staff was excellent and really tried their best to speak English (just like all of my students). Even with all of those students there, it did...

We stayed 1 night at Hotel Nanpuso, reserving one of their rooms with a private onsen. The package included Japanese dinner and breakfast served in the room with futons (about 500 CAD). The experience was a highlight from our trip to Japan and we would recommend to anyone looking for a unique Japanese experience. From Tokyo, took Shinkansen to Odawara...

We had a room of 風の庵 which room with private open-air baths, the dinner and breakfast are very nice. You can take a bus from Hakone-yumoto Station to the hotel, it takes 7 mins and cost 100 yen pax. or if you go from Moto-hakone or Moto-hakone-ko area, you could take bus route M from there, around 30 mins and...
