It took us about 15 - 20 minutes walk from station, it's a long way for us to walk in cold weather. The hotel room looks a bit out cos it is still using key to open door and the mattress should be changed. However, the staff is friendly enough as when we called them that the room is too...

A decent hotel located in the city of Hakodate (涵館). Hotel internet: not available. Hotel dinner: tonight, the hotel hosted a Sushi Festival (壽司祭, $60 each person). We enjoyed it very much. Hotel breakfast: plenty of choices. Good.

We were given a very tiny quadruple room in smoking floor though I hv specifically requested for non-smoking. Pls note that the given room was indeed 'non-smoking' but was on smoking floor. It was really unpleasant. Tiny room with tiny toilet. Feedback to the front manager and he was helpful enough to change our room. It was slightly better but...

We were very happy with Hotel Hakodate Royal. The lobby is quite ritzy. Our room was spacious, comfortable and clean. There's a bakery in the lobby. The location is okay - it's on the wrong side of the peninsula but only a 12 minute walk to the other side (eg the red brick warehouses, restaurants etc) but generally quite convenient,...

We found a good deal on Expedia for a one night stay at the hotel. The hotel is a little old and still uses actual room keys for the door. The rooms are pretty roomy and has all the basics but it's definitely not a 3 star. We stayed one night and was able to get a good night sleep....

Triple room was spacious but a bit old. Location was in a quiet corner and near to Hakodate station and the morning market. Morning breakfast was good with a reasonable spread (both Japanese food and bread and puffs), my fave was the huge bottle of milk!

This is not among the cheapest hotels we booked in our Japanese sojourn. The reason it was chosen was the fact that its room size was 23 sq m in a room with twin beds, while other room sizes that we saw were smaller. The hotel looked pretty run down. The hallway to the room really looked shabby. Good thing...

Despite the very reasonable rates we paid for triple and twin rooms and expecting an average hotel, we were happy to find it one of the best hotels of our ten days trip in Hokkaido. Both rooms were newly refurbished with big comfy single beds, very spacious especially the triple room was huge. Everything looks new and trendy inside the...

Stayed for 2 nights. Located in a quiet area of town but not too far from the tram line. Not far also from Hakodate station & the morning market. Just an average hotel. Staff were attentive. Room was clean & large but the bathroom was a bit cramped (that's quite normal for this standard of hotels in Japan). Got a...
