I told them at the time of booking that I wanted a room close to the smoking booth, so I was satisfied with being assigned a room on the 6th floor as desired.
Parking is located behind the hotel, but be careful not to reach it unless you turn left on the main street and right on the narrow road (I think a sign that stands out at night is essential where you turn on the narrow road).
The public bath is slightly smaller considering the number of rooms, and Mt.
The sauna is hot, but the water temperature in the bath is too low, so it may not be good for your heart if you don't take it slowly.
The public baths prohibit people with tattoos, but I was surprised to see four or five tattooed young people (around 30 years old) bathing. I am amazed that some people ignore this even though the dressing room and lockers also state that tattooed people are not allowed to bathe.
There is ice cream (night) and lactic acid bacteria beverage (morning) service after leaving the public bath, but I was going to leave the morning bath after 9am and have a drink, but it was empty. Some people drink many bottles by themselves, so I thought frequent checks were essential to avoid running out.
I described it in various ways, but I thought that overall it was a hotel with a sense of stability.
I'll take care of him again if I get the chance.
The rooms are clean, with a large hot spring bath, and plenty of options such as ice cream after the bath, drinks after the bath, and ramen at night. It's a pity that there is only a shower in the room.
Also, the ice cream after the bath (Yakult in the morning) was delicious.
The late-night snack of Yonaki Soba (ramen) was also a wonderful treat.
I'm looking forward to staying at La Vista Hakodate for two nights next month.
Rooms are narrow but well arranged.
However there is only one English Channel on TV available (CNN).
There is free spa (male and female separated).
As well some free services as a free beer and Japanese soya noodle soup.
Their staff speaks a reasonable English.
Hotel is convenient located to reach restaurants by foot.
Enjoy your stay!
Our room was small but our double size bed was comfortable and firm. The air conditioning was strong but quiet. Many of the controls in the room were only in Japanese, so we used Google Lens and Google Translate on our smartphones to interpret them. There was a paper in the room that was in English to help explain many features. The room has a kettle (only green tea was provided, no coffee) and a mini fridge. In the closet were bathrobes. We had to use the closet to place some of our luggage, because the room is so small. There is a mini desk with a safe built into it. The curtains were thick and good at blocking out the daylight.
Walking into the hallway of our room sets off a motion light, but there is a sliding door to block the light from the bed. The bathroom sink is in the hallway and there is a separate room for the shower and toilet. The shower was strong and enjoyable.
There are only about 10 TV channels, with just one in English. There is Video On Demand too.
We did not have a car, but parking and the drop-off area are limited. They have a rotating tower to "load" and "unload" parked vehicles into. We saw a regular size minivan being unloaded from it.
We did not eat at the hotel restaurant, but it was 11,000 Yen per person. There is also a Denny's about 3 blocks away, which we tried and it was actually very good and cheap.
The hotel's location is very good. It is in the heart of downtown Kofu, across from the police station. We did not hear any sirens through our window. The Kofu JR station is a flat, 4 block walk. There is a well-stocked Family Mart convenience store a block behind the hotel. Even though the hotel is across the street from a police station and is on a main road, it was very quiet in our room and the hallways.
Even with the small room, we would definitely stay here again.
