Great and gracious staff; room had everything we needed; clean yukata every day; good breakfasts and dinners; and, as icing on the cake, a soothing onsen to refresh tired bodies. Convenient to bus and train station. Convenient to old town. What's not to like!

If you don't mind the attention, it's fine. After all , baths were yakuza's mainstays. :)

You can ask the reception but I would think 7:30-8 is a common time. Most people will leave early to do their day tours etc
