Hotel is very close to Takayama JR station. Hotel service is good, the chief receptionist helped me to change type of room. You need to lock your shoes in the locker on ground floor, so everyone walks bare foot inside hotel, however the luggage wheels are not wiped, so the floor is not completely clean. Room is of adequate size...

Hotel There is a complementary onsen for your feet at the entrance. You need to take off your shoes when you get in the hotel. Room The room and the bathroom are relatively small. Not much space for opening your luggage. The refrigerator is not cool enough. Food Its breakfast includes small dishes of Jap food. Above average. Private onsen...

Visited in Apr 2017, nearing Sakura season . You need to take off your shoes before you go to the rooms or access the lifts. The hotel rooms are covered with tatami mats hence the no shoe policy inside hotel. Nice comfortable room. Shower is rather small but the whole aim is to try the the Onsen on 13 th...

Stayed there for 2 nights and it was a very comfortable stay. Hotel was very closed to the JR station. It was also within walking distance from nearby tourist attractions. The hotel was not traditional, but quite Japanese style and you would need to take off your shoes after entering the hotel. Effectively you could walk within the hotel barefoot...

It locates just few minutes walk from JR Takayama Station. You won't miss the hotel block. The lobby has a small gift shop and a free drink booth, which are good for killing time. Public onsen and private onsen are available for free, with a well equiped changing and dressing area. Room is not too big, jap style. We have...

We were looking forward to a stay in Japanese ryokan during our trip to japan. Although the hotel is in a good location round the corner from the station we were a little disappointed as it is a fairly modern hotel tricked to give a Ryokan feel. The lobby is cramped and as the floors are covered in tatami mats...

Very basic accommodation. However amazing food, very traditional meals and plenty of it. Both private and public onsen. The location is perfect, close to everything, and walkable from the train station!

The hotel is less than 5 minutes from the rail and bus station. The hotel name is only displayed in Japanese so needs to be identified by the map location and picture (unless you speak Japanese). The room was reasonably sized for Japan and a little tired but perfectly clean. The outside onsen was nice with mountain views. I enjoyed...

Room was clean and comfortable, good-sized but not spacious (there wouldn't be room to open a large suitcase). Good spa, though some mold on the walls is visible. We were happy with the breakfast, but disappointed with the dinner. The dinner buffet is 5,000 yen plus 700 yen for soft drinks. It was ok, but we felt that it was...
