We stayed 2 nights at Thorntree River Lodge, the staff were pleasant and polite and very helpful. The setting is so peacefull and tranquil, it's everything you want, there is no Wi-Fi, no television, no radio or telephones, so don't expect flat screen TVs etc in the bar, it's far better listening to the Hippos and the other animals in...

Wonderful place. Felt as tho we had stepped into a place a well heeled Victorian English couple would have stayed while on safari. The grounds were beautiful and populated with a variety of wild life. The shower was outside ( altho a deep luxurious whirlpool bath was situated in the indoor bathroom ) and I had a Vervet Monkey that...

We had an excellent stay at this Lodge, thanks to friendly and helpful service from Anant and his personnel! It was amazing to have wild elephants and hippo roam the estate. The spacious room was clean, all rooms have a private porch from which to observe the wildlife on the Zambezi, amidst peace and quiet. The elephant back safari is...

This is a beautiful, gracious, friendly and elegant lodge, every "cabin" has a view of the Zambezi River. Meals are outdoors, either under the large trees or on the deck. The staff is outgoing and personable. Meals were beautifully presented, but we could have used more candle power to see! Excursions were efficiently booked and geared to individuality.

Stayed here for 5 nights in June. I have nothing but praise for this fantastic little lodge. With only 9 rooms it is perfect for those wanting some peace & quiet. Anant runs this lodge fantastically & his staff are superb. Special mentions to Alfred, Kam (not sure of his full name) but fellow guests nicknamed him "Booka" (Book of...

Stayed at Thorn Tree River Lodge during May 2012. Had a wonderful time and was fully impressed with the lodge and the wonderful staff. Food was brilliant, rooms spacious and clean. Relaxed atmosphere as the Lodge is a few km's from the falls and the noise associated with the activities is diminished, although you still hear the odd helicopter and...

From the moment we were greeted at Livingstone Airport, our experience at Thorntree River Lodge was one of the most memorable of our lives. The staff was first rate and they attended to our every need, especially for my wife who has multiple sclerosis and difficulty walking. We were given the first chalet nearest the lodge and my wife still...

With a beautiful, peaceful location on the banks of the Zambezi River, in Mosi-oa-Tunya park, outside Livingstone town, and away from Victoria Falls, the Thorn Tree River Lodge is a nice base from which to explore the area. We took a morning game-drive in the park, arranged by the lodge, and it was very good. Other activities are available. The...

Whether it was the haunting sound of the Cape Town to Cairo train whistle, or the old world hospitality of lodge manager Anant Patel, everything about our stay at Thorntree was the Africa I had envisioned and hoped for. My teenaged daughter and I arrived mid afternoon on our first visit to Livingstone, Zambia. We were greeted at the airport...

The dining room flows into a private, temperature controlled wine cellar stocked with the finest wines.
