We had a lovely stay in Zambia with a birding group from South Africa. It could not have been better. Emanuel was an expert on birds, the food was excellent and Kevin was a very good host. Thank you from Norway

If you like a secluded, spacious, private camping spot with green grass, your own ablution facilities and friendly staff, this is the place to go in Livingstone. Camp Nkwazi is 20 km out of town and it is a bit more expensive than the overcrowded campsites in town ($25 pp/pn), but what you get in return is almost perfect (unfortunately... More

Close to the Vic-falls. Camp with 10 luxury tents. Excellent food. Border crossing into Zimbabwe without any problems. Temp. are high at this time of the year. Had no rain yet. Therefore waterlevel of the Zambesi at a minimum.

I was so impressed with this place. Usually nice lodges do not put thought into their campsites, but this one is immaculate. It has manicured lawns for you tent, and super clean bathrooms, with wonderful hot showers. It is likely the nicest camp site in Zambia. Further, you can use the internet at the restaurant/bar, and swim in the pool.... More

We run a safari company that focuses primarily on Southern Africa safaris. As imagined, Livingstone is a popular choice for our clients and given the amount of options available, you have a lot to choose from. I found Camp Nkwazi completely exceeded my expectations at every level. The manager Kevin is clearly very experienced in both the industry and the... More

From the moment we arrived until Kevin said good bye at the airport, we were impressed with the accommodation, the service, and especially the people who made our stay so memorable. Chalet 6 was picture perfect. It was somewhat surreal to go to sleep with the sounds of elephants bathing in the river and wake up to the snorts of... More

I stayed in one of the chalets for 3 nights. Manager Kevin and his team did everything to ensure that I was able to do all of the activities I planned to do. Camp Nkwazi is about a 30 minute drive outside Livingstone away from all the tourist traps of the town and is a great place to relax and... More

Camp Nkwazi offers self-catering chalets, and is situated on a small backwater of the Zambezi River on the Zambia side. Hosts Leon and Hester are wonderfully cordial in greeting and making us feel very welcome and the marvelous staff are very friendly and accommodating. The facility is three years young and gaining in popularity, especially with “birders” as there are... More

We camped overnight and wished we could have stayed longer. Leon is a gracious host who took the time to show us around and make us feel welcome. The campsite is clean, well trimmed and quiet except for the sounds of the hippos snorting. Lovely! Bathrooms well appointed with lots of hot water, private stalls with hooks, and many sinks.... We stopped overnight at Camp Nkwazi on our way to Lusaka and ended up staying a week. This is the best campsite we have ever stayed in! Large, secluded, grassy pitches with spacious and spotlessly clean private ablution and braai facilities. Chalets alao are available. The restaurant and lounge area overlook the blue Zambezi River, and there are tons of... More
