Nestled on a stunning beachfront, Citadines Pearl Hoi An is cherished for its proximity to the historic old town, complete with complimentary shuttle services. Many guests rave about the spotless environment, from the well-kept rooms to the immaculate pools and beaches.
While the rooms earn praise for their spaciousness and views, the hotel's amenities, including the pool and dining options, are generally well-received, with a few suggestions for enhancement. Despite some concerns over value and occasional service hiccups, the majority of visitors commend the friendly staff and the peaceful, stylish atmosphere conducive to unwinding.

Detailed Reviews
We spent four amazing days at Citadines Pearl Hoi An, and it was the perfect base for our family adventures.
The rooms were cozy and inviting, and the daily housekeeping meant we could truly relax. The kids loved splashing in the clean and refreshing pool, and we all enjoyed delicious room service meals on the balcony. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay special – we felt like family by the time we left!

Hotel's Favourite
Stayed seven nights in a 2 bd apartment. Ocean views. Room well appointed and serviced daily. Very clean. Resort has a great pool and located on the beach which was beautiful and clean and calm. While the resort grounds are looking a little tired, the gardens and lawns were well maintained and the on-site gym was very well equipped. The free shuttle into Hoi An was excellent. The pool side bar team worked very hard keeping up with our constant requests for cocktails and lived up to the challenge. Dat in particular was excellent. While this resort is a little way from An Bang Beach and Hoi An old town both locations are very easily accessible via the GRAB service or metered taxis. Highly recommend Hoi An and further recommend Citadines Pearl for a great holiday with family, friends or as a couple.

We a family of 3 adult stayed here for 2 nights from 6th March. Had booked a 2 bedroom seaview apartment and we loved it. The property is huge, right on the beach, part of it is yet to open, like the movie theatre, shopping arcade etc. However, we had a nice time. The apartment was very good, well furnished with all essentials. It had two bedrooms which can sleep 4, one living dining with kitchen, two toilets, two television, microwave, refrigerator(full size), cutlery and basic essentials to cook a quick snack. Breakfast spread was impressive with lots of option. The best part is the beachfront pool which is huge and the adjoining seating area. Having direct beach access is also a major plus.
The hotel also provides a free shuttle service to Hoi An night market which you need to book after you check in. Grab is always available in case you don't get seat in the free shuttle. The hotel spa is reasonably priced and the service is also good.
Overall a very good place at this price point to relax and stay in Hoi An. Very much recommended

We were already 4 days for Xmas here as we liked the accommodations for our 2 year old son. Nice pool area with amazing kids pool, great playground and good breakfast.
After we recommended this place to our friends who stayed here for Chinese New Year we decided to join them and stayed now a second time here for 6 nights. due to corona virus situation that we were trapped in Vietnam and our flight got canceled I asked for a special offer to extend our stay. I was wondering that the manager Mr. Nyugen offered me not really a good offer to extend. After explaining him our situation and sending him screenshots from booking.com that his offer is not really a good offer, we decided to leave this place. He explained to me that out of a goodwill he made us even a cheaper price but still that cheapest offer he made us was 2.500.000 VTN !!! more expensive than our cheapest opportunity on Booking.com. So we decided to leave that place and going back to our very first hotel in town center where we had an amazing, lovely time.
The pearl is all in all a cold atmosphere little village with no charm. We requested before arrival for a change of pillows as my wife is allergic to feathers. when we arrived late in the evening it was not really comfortable to have staff at 9pm in your room changing pillows and blanket.
We checked out at 10am (official check out12) we let our luggage at reception as we still wanted to enjoy pool area. I asked if I could pay restaurant bills when we pick up our luggage, because we might wanted to have lunch at pool restaurant. I got told it’s not possible what means I would have get charged twice by my credit card company. That wasn’t really flexible.

We had a two bedroom apartment which was lovely however, had no cutlery, plates etc. Breakfast was excellent as was the pool area. But....
The resort lacks heart -still in “soft opening’ stage with many empty shops, no hotel spa, currency exchange etc. building works continue around the resort. There is a spa in the complex but they do not speak English which made it extremely difficult.
The shuttle into Old Town is great if you manage to get a seat on it (which is often booked out when you go to book)otherwise you need to pay for a taxi into town. These don’t run that often throughout the day.
No tour information desk in resort to assist with booking things.
We were on our way to airport after checking out -the driver received a phone call to say the hotel had for forgot to charge us for two cups of coffee at breakfast and that we needed to pay the driver for this. Very, very disappointing!
All in all, our experience was not great and would be reluctant to recommend hotel if you were looking for a 4-5 star experience.

The ocean view room we were initially allocated, which was about a 10 minute walk from reception, had a view of a roof in front but they argued that you could see the ocean if you went out onto the balcony ( in the sun & 45 degrees) . After much insistence on our part, we moved to a room on the 3rd floor with a nice enough ocean view between buildings. The room is lovely, bed & pillows are excellent & very comfortable, air conditioning only just keeps things reasonably cool on the lowest setting, the fridge is about 1 degree cooler than the room. 😁
It's a long walk to anywhere IN the hotel & it's a taxi ride of 10++ mins at least to anywhere else, including any restaurants.
The beach in front is beautiful & the seawater is a great temp & you can swim when the tide is mid to high. The pool looks wonderful but is like a HOT bath & is green & murky & full of children. Not at all inviting. All pools are very warm in vietnam but this one is really hot. The pool sun loungers are really uncomfortable with metal bars across your back making them painful to use. The pool area above the beach is very attractive & pleasant with lots of coconut palm trees & there was always a lovely, cooling sea breeze.
Breakfast is in a huge open space, well away from the pool & beach, with no air cond, a couple of inefficient cooler units & the sun beating in & hoards of people. The food looked OK but we didn't try it because it was just too hot to sit there. We think the restaurant is in the same area but didn't bother to try for the same reasons. The pool area serves basic burgers & sandwiches but again, we didn't try.
There is also no air cond in the foyer or the miles of corridors & it's really hot.
The weirdest thing about this strange, massive hotel which has the appearance of a monster sized public hospital, is that you will be charged an extra 100000 to 300000 per day if you bring any drink or food from outside the hotel, including water. 😂
The "city view" rooms on the opposite side have views of a massive, half built & abandoned building site that has the appearance of a war zone. There are heaps of abandoned monster sized building sites all along the coast.
Would we stay again? No, though the room itself is lovely & it's only about 15 mins taxi drive into the old town.

Dear lyndah610 Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. We apologize for the inconvenience you experienced during your stay. We understand that the initial room allocation did not meet your expectations, and we regret any confusion regarding the ocean view. We appreciate your insistence, which allowed us to move you to a room on the 3rd floor with a nice ocean view. It's pleasing to hear that you found the room comfortable and enjoyed the beach's beauty. We are sorry to learn about your disappointment with the pool's temperature and cleanliness. Your feedback will help us identify areas of improvement. We apologize for any discomfort caused by the pool loungers and the heat in common areas. We will review these concerns to enhance the overall guest experience. Regarding the restaurants, we apologize for the discomfort caused by the heat in the dining area. We appreciate your feedback and will work towards making improvements in this regard. We regret that the policy on outside food and drinks was not clearly communicated to you before your stay. Thank you. Kind regards Davidson Joseph General Manager

We have just returned from a trip with friends to Hoi An and we had 5 nights at the Citadines Pearl Hoi An. Our room was comfortable, we had a really nice view (2 bedroom executive suite) and the location in relation to Hoi An and Da Nang for sightseeing was convenient, that is about the only positive things I can say about our stay. The hotel is VERY run down and in places looks incomplete. There is a distinct lack of facilities that are actually open and food options are very poor, especially of an evening. If you are arriving after 8pm you will not be able to get a meal of any sort. There is a 7/11 store but it is poorly stocked and there are no other option for supplies close by. The pool area was nice however the water is very warm, has a green tinge to it and the wall were slimy with algae. The pool bar is nice but the service can be slow and food options are very limited, it closes at 8pm but told they us at 7:30pm we could not order food. The beach is also nice but the water is not particularly clean. Breakfast was always busy and food, drinks, plates etc were not kept well stocked. There was often a long wait for the egg station. It is a massive complex and they try to keep it clean but some area were very grotty looking and simple things like wet floor signs are lacking after floors have been mopped. One of our party slipped on an unmarked wet floor (that had just been mopped) and were lucky to have not hurt themselves badly. This hotel has the potential to be great but falls way short. I appreciate that places like this have struggled through Covid but…..travellers beware this hotel does not deserve it’s 4 star rating!

Unfortunately this place is a shocker!! The design of the complex is terrible with the walk from room to pool or beach being a long way. The type of place where you need a backpack if leaving your room and it being a chore to get around.
From the moment we arrived and being told your welcome drink is over there and it being a help yourself to water was just the beginning of the poor service here.
The bar manager telling us we are not on the system to order drinks as if that was our problem was the second impression. An empty mini bar which didn’t really cool our drinks and the overpriced minimart on site to buy yourself drinks.
The breakfast was ordinary.
Told by receptionist that we could not have a knife to cut fruit as it was dangerous. This whole place was dangerous with wet floors and trip hazards everywhere.
The whole pool is shallow and was very warm nearly too warm during summer.
To the positive- Ms Hai at reception was lovely and helpful. The Gym was the best we had seen in a hotel in Vietnam. The beach was clean and plenty of places to sit or lie around the pool. Close walk to An Bang beach
This place is a large scale commercial hotel with little charm and poorly trained staff. I think it is set up for the local and Korean markets.
Apologies for the poor reviews but I have to be honest.
We will not return sorry.

Dear Guest, I'm sorry to hear that your stay at the hotel was disappointing. The long walk from your room to the pool or beach, poor service, and lack of amenities are definitely not what you expect from a hotel. It's unfortunate that the staff were not more helpful or accommodating, especially when it came to ordering drinks and accessing the minibar. The breakfast was also underwhelming. However, it's good to hear that Ms. Hai was friendly and helpful at reception, and the gym was well-equipped. The beach was clean and conveniently located. We will fix all the issues you experience and thank you for your constructive feedback we will look forward to much improved service soon. Thank you. Kind regards, Davidson Joseph General Manager

Just returned from a fantastic four nights vacation at The Citadines Pearl Hoi An.It’s a huge hotel with an amazing and very large tropical swimming pool right next to the sandy beach.Unfortunately we came when the weather was unsettled and cool but managed the last day by the swimming pool and had a great time.
The cost of an ocean facing room is fair and there are many other different types of room available.Ours was large, modern & well equipped.
Breakfast was excellent with a large array of foods available and staff pleasant.Reception staff pleasant and helpful too.
The hotel had a regular shuttle bus into the amazing Old Town Hoi An just under 5km away and was a pleasant ride there and back.
Da Nang airport is approximately a thirty minute ride away where the hotel meet us.Grab App available also for trips to Da Nang, the airport and to & from the old town of Hoi An.
The hotel also has a cinema on site plus numerous shopping outlets some open some closed. It’s a new hotel opened in 2019 obviously hit hard by Covid and awaiting for the large groups of Chinese to return. When I stayed it was mostly Koreans and a splattering of Indian tourists.
Overall excellent thanks.

We appreciate your understanding of the challenges we faced due to the impact of Covid-19. We are working hard to welcome back all our guests, including larger groups, as travel restrictions are lifted. Thank you. Kind regards, Davidson Joseph General Manager

Stayed for 4 nights in December. Rooms were very competitively priced; regardless, rooms were clean, modern and decently sized. Our apartment had two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a living room - all three rooms had air conditioning. Daily breakfast was decent - spread not too wide but contains Western, Asian and local cuisines.
Complex itself showed lack of care in some parts but it was overall still clean. Did not use the facilities; beach was right below but waves were rough in December. Supposed shopping mall next door was very empty, only one Korean spa and two external dining options in the complex - a makeshift Korean BBQ joint and a Vietnamese(?) restaurant. There was also an adjoining cinema that was active.
Size of resort meant it was somewhat isolated with no immediate dining outlets/facilities nearby. Surrounding area shows development but slowed from COVID. Nearest town was a 5 min Grab ride away.
Overall, in my view, value and the room itself more than makes up for deficiencies.

Responded 8 Jul 2023
Dear Alejandroeight, Thank you for your feedback about your stay in December. We're glad to hear that you found the rooms clean, modern, and spacious and that the air conditioning was working well. It's also great to know that you enjoyed the daily breakfast, even though the spread was not extensive. We appreciate your understanding about the areas that showed a lack of care, but we assure you that we strive to maintain cleanliness throughout the complex. We apologize if the facilities and dining options did not meet your expectations. As you mentioned, the beach may have been rough in December, and the nearby shopping mall had limited options due to the current circumstances. However, we're pleased to hear that the resort's cinema was active and provided entertainment. We understand that the resort may have felt somewhat isolated due to the lack of immediate dining outlets nearby, but we're glad that you found the nearest town conveniently accessible. Your feedback regarding the value and quality of the rooms is greatly appreciated. We will take your comments into consideration as this would be a great destination for your future visit. Thank you. Kind regards, Davidson Joseph General Manager

An Bang beach is a excellent place for swimmer 😃
Dear Elena,
The babysitting service is not available.
Yes, the local community village An Bang has numerous great restraints, it is about a 500m walk either by beach or road, all flat no hills. Amazing Mexican restaurant Casa Loco and Bikini bottoms for an alternative from local cuisine, contented soul for authentic Vietnamese with an amazing view, lots of little family run restaurants with very low prices
