I stayed here for one night during my trip to Uruguay. Pros: -Friendly, helpful front desk staff who provided good advice concerning buses -Excellent location within short walking distance from both the ferry terminal and bus station -Includes breakfast, which is served, but quite basic, consisting of toast, croissant, whole wheat bread, fruit, juice, coffee/tea Cons: -No hairdryer available when...

Quick walking distance from the seaport, which is very convenient to drop off your luggage after arriving. No need to take a cab, less than 5 minute walk. Given that Colonia is so small it's also a reasonable walk to the old city. Nice facilities, quaint, clean, friendly service. A recommended place in Colonia.

The hotel is a small, boutique and picturesque place with a warm environment. Staff was very friendly, kind and helpful. We arrived from Buenos Aires by Buquebus and that day was raining. We walked just 5 minutes and we were already at the hotel. Was great! Excellent location! Excelente lugar en relación precio-calidad. Vale la pena y además es un...

I didn't plan to sleep in Colonia but when I got there I said "is impossible came to this city just for 2 or 3 hour" easy and close to the ferrys I get this small and comfortable hotel! It's really nice, the relations between price an quality is good!

My boyfriend and I just returned from a weekend in Hotel Rivera, happy to have stayed there and already thinking of returning. It's a little hotel with a bed and breakfast feeling. No luxury, but nicely decorated, with a homey feeling and, moreover, their own bakery in the front! We arrived Friday night and were greeted by the receptionist, who...

nothing good about the place except proximity to ferry location: small rooms, mouldy AC units, no windows in bathrooms, flaky wifi, terrible breakfast, cash only payments accepted despite Visa/MC logos displayed. Avoid unless you really need to be close to the port.

We stayed there several times as it is close to the bus station, the buquebus and the old part of the lovely town. The staff is helpful and very friendly, one of the reasons why we booked this place again. The rooms are very clean and have private bathroom, TV, air condition, wifi (which really works!). I can really recommend...

Very convenient location, two blocks from the ferry terminal and on the edge of Old Town. An easy walk to all of Old Town and a variety of good restaurants. Very nice and helpful staff. Very clean. The only negative was a roach that crawled on my daughter during the night.

Cute place, great location right near (2 min walk) the bus station. It's also a nice walk to Colonia, so not a bad location. The rooms are pretty open in that the windows are open and everyone can hear everything. That didn't bother us as we were just there to sleep for the one night. The only issue is a...

“We followed other advice here and in booking.com and asked for a room upstairs and in the back (there are 3 of them). Think it was the best choice! Do make it explicit in your reservation, as then they assign your room as 'do not move this reservation'. If you aren't clear, they may change you for other people that explicitly request this room.”
