I absolutely loved Los Muelles from the minute I saw the two-story orange building and walked into the bright, fun lobby. This cute, small hotel is located across from the river, and our room had a balcony overlooking the water, which was an amazing bonus. In the evenings, we played Uruguayan music and sat on the balcony drinking wine. The... More

This feels like it should be a nice hotel, the modern foyer and breakfast are both fine and staff wee pleasant enough. The location is good just off the Main Street looking out in the river with boats and nice views. However the bedroom was just weird. It was clean but had a very weird selection of retro furniture but... More

Although the downstairs decor is bright and clean the room was disappointing. Rusty and dirty bedhead and a filthy uncovered duvet and blankets. The bed was quite comfortable and the view nice but really dirty duvets for this price is not acceptable.

The hotel's best feature is the bathroom. Both shower and bathtub with excellent water pressure was what we need after going around our bikes all afternoon. Hotel is at walking distance from Cacciola Ferry Boat. It is also close to the town center. Very friendly service.

I stayed at Los Muelles many times, it's one of my favorite places! Rooms are nicely decorated , breakfast is great and José the owner puts his heart and soul in every detail. Definitely recommendable. It's conveniently located, near the port and the little town. Restaurants are just steps away and they would recommend all the attraction in the area.

This is a nice hotel with a view of the river on the banks of Carmelo. It is a pretty quiet part of the town. The staff were friendly but nobody speaks English, we got by with our few words of Spanish just fine! The only complaint was breakfast which was pretty poor. Just the small buffet and toast was... The room is sold as a suite but it is a normal bedroom, very nice view but not very large. The floor is carpet and was dirty, bathroom has no bathtub and small. Breakfast was good, not a great variety but excellent fruit salad. The offered bicycles but not good for a longer ride

I have been a couple of times at the hotel. The building is kind of nice, rooms are ok (although age is beginning to show). I was however surprised at how noisy the place is. Carmelo is supposed to be a very quiet place. In the rooms there is huge TV noise from the upstairs room, three of four dogs... More

The hotel is very good! The room decor is interesting, in our room there were beautiful screens of good taste and each room has a unique and themed decor, all very new. The bed is very comfortable, the bathroom is modern with shampoo, conditioner, etc. The hotel is extremely clean, you can see that they clean the common areas throughout... More

Lovely boutique hotel on the ramble in Carmelo. Furniture and art chosen with care. Excellent staff who can't do enough for you. English is limited but, hey, it's in Uruguay. Excellent breakfast. Carmelo has a fabulous beach that's a bit of a hike, but the hotel has a supply of bicycles available without charge and it's an easy ride from... More
