Finally had a chance to get a float trip in with Mike on the Salmon River. We weren’t on the water with Mike guiding us more than 20 minutes when I landed my first Steelie of the day. Mike’s knowledge of the river combined with years of fishing the Salmon River resulted in another great trip. I’ll be back again before this season is over!, Once again first class accommodations at a great rate. Garaziella has been diligent making guests at the motel feel safe with proper Covid protections in place. Clean, comfortable rooms only a mile from the river after a long day are always waiting. We wanted to snowmobile while we were here as the trails are nearby but fishing was too good.

Owners Mike and Graziella are great hosts, coffee was ready at 4 am warm room all night and very clean and spacious. Perfect for a fishing trip with the family or a solo trip for that fish you've been looking for. I won't be staying anywhere else when I go up to Pulaski, Altmar.

Just got back from fishing trip and the only thing better than the fishing were the accommodations and service at Mid River Motel!! New owner Mike has freshened up and improved the facilities at this very convenient spot. Very affordable with cleaning station, ice etc available on premises. Mike has been fishing Pulaski for over 20 years so don't forget to ask for some tips. Can't wait to return.

My friend and I recently enjoyed a women's fly-fishing trip in Pulaski. We stayed at Mid River Motel and was pleasantly surprised by Mike the new owner. He has made improvements to the motel. It was very clean, comfortable, and affordable. We had a great time speaking with other fisherman/women on the porch! Thanks for the great accommodations - we really enjoyed our stay.

This was our second time here both times Mike the owner was great and very accommodating and also informative on the fishing reports. Clean place laid back will get you anything you need or help you out in any way. Great place to get away and have a great time and relax.

I rate various hotels that we have stayed in ranging from luxury to those providing a basic place to sleep. My rating should not be used to compare hotels in differing settings but taken in context of the purpose of the lodging. This is an excellent place to stay if you want a CLEAN room, no frills, but very friendly, helpful service. I went solo to join friends for a ten day fishing trip. Mike, the owner, is very friendly and helpful. In the winter, snowmobilers come to ride the trails that can take you all the way to Vermont. In summer, these same trails are used by ATV people. The scenery is very nice with the clear, clean Salmon River as the main draw but also near Lake Ontario. Side trips to the Salmon River Falls and the Salmon River Fish Hatchery are very interesting and worth visiting. All restaurants we visited served large portions at very reasonable prices. No food is served on the premises however, Mike has a refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven and morning coffee in a common area for guests to use. If you are an early riser and want to get to the stream, bring your breakfast food with you and fix it yourself before setting out for the morning. All fishing holes along the Salmon River are just a few minutes drive from the motel/campground. Mike has another building with a large freezer where you can freeze and store your fish until you leave. There is free Wi-Fi but I could only get two sketchy bars so I was unable to use my computer or smart phone on site. When I went to nearby Pulaski for a meal, I was able to call out using my smart phone which is on the Verizon system. Some other guests were able to connect, depending on where they stood on the property. Locals use different service providers so they don't have these issues.

Just came home from another trip to Mid River Motel. Owner Mike keeps a clean, convenient and friendly home away from home for fishermen, campers and soon snowmobilers. Clean rooms at a very affordable rate along with the free fishing advice are a win-win. Wouldn't think of staying anywhere else. Thanks Mike!!

We went late in the season. Seasonal rates were still in effect but that was not told to us when we called. We did not have the opportunity to meet Mike but after searching the grounds found a woman to check us in who clearly had had enough of the season and enough of fisherman. The room was basic, plywood and 2x6 bunkbeds and a mattress.old and sturdy fixtures and clean. The downfall with the room was there was not a flat surface to be had. No table or night stand. We had to live off the floor. We will go back if the other places we frequent are unavailable.

We have been fishing with Mike our guide/owner for going on 6 years. We always come home with world class steelhead and salmon. Decided to take a break and enjoy some downtime off season. What a great spot. Quite and accommodating Mike and his wife go out of their way to make you feel at home. And Pulaski and the beaches are awesome this time of year. Just wish Mike did lake charters.....Maybe some day?
