1- The hotel is very old, not as new and clean as seen in the pictures.
2- It is a very complex and messy hotel. It is not clear who employees do what and where.
3- There are always weddings in the hotel garden and at such times, those staying at the hotel are completely relegated to the background. If you go out on the day of the wedding, unfortunately you cannot find a parking place for your car. And this hotel staff doesn't even care.
4- The beach is absolutely bad. There is the gendarmerie social facility beach right next to it, it is cleaner and more organized than the hotel's beach. Also, it is impossible to find anyone interested in the beach during the day. However, you need to go and find someone yourself and ask. This is valid in every part of the hotel.
5- Breakfast options are quite good, but unfortunately not delicious. Honestly, there is a buffet breakfast, but it does not inspire the desire to go and have breakfast.
6- Perhaps the best part of the hotel is the rooms. However, after talking to other holidaymakers, I realized that not every room is the same. It's a bit of a matter of luck, I guess.
7- And there is definitely treatment according to the customer. While it is forbidden to ask for food from outside in the hotel. They give this permission to the customers they want. This is true not only in this issue but in every issue.
In short, it is a hotel that is preferred because it has its own beach, but it does not have much of a privilege, its service is extremely poor, it is irregular, its employees are indifferent, its beach is shared with the sites next door, and you will regret it if you go.
The room we were allocated, was not the room we paid for, we were told they did not have availability, found ourselves another hotel, and checked out, we were told , the hotel will refund us, still waiting on that, and we got charged one night stay, we only stayed a few hours.
Bad location
The hotel is located along - what I would call - a highway, 10 km outside of Mersin. The hotel is adjacent to a military compound (although this did not bother me too much). The hotel has a small private beach, but the beach is poor maintained, as are the deck chairs. There is no shuttle service to Mersin -- your only option is a taxi or a local bus.
Bad hotel rooms
Honestly, the hotel rooms are really bad. The rooms are old and dirty; there is no drinking water (at least not free of charge); blankets and sheets were uncomfortable; the deposit box was not working; television with Turkish language channels only; bathroom is a disgrace; etc.
The only positive elements were the design of the lobby, the restaurant (they look okay), and the restrooms (recently renovated it seems), and the ocean view we had from our room.
Unfriendly staff
Very unfriendly, generally not willing to make any effort (ironer not available after 2 p.m., not willing to provide extra sheets, etc.). Only one person speaks English; otherwise no one even tries.
Overpriced
What really bothered me was the price. At about EUR 65 per night (including breakfast), you can get much, much better in Turkey.
Overall very bad and I recommend any other hotel in Mersin
Rooms are spacy, has one double and one single room and a balcony. It's a clean hotel, we had no problem about cleanliness or safety during our stay. It's not located inside Mersin but if you have a car it's about 15 minutes to the city centre. Beach has thin sand, which is good for children. Breakfast (open-buffet) is also very good, has lots of choices.
Hotel has two drawbacks (which were minor for us). One is, if there is a wedding organization in the hotel, there is some noice due to music, which is high occasionally. Rooms at higher levels may hear the music less, we were at 2nd floor and we heard it, but we were too tired so we afforded to sleep. Second drawback is elevator, which is strange. You have to walk about 10 steps after getting off from elevator, since elevator levels are located in the middle of two levels :)
Staff was also helpful. As a result, I strongly recommend the hotel for a short stay in Mersin.
"Average noise but very noisy when they organize weddings. And it seems they often do. So ask for a room at the last floor."Read full review
