We just got back from Goreme and i can say that Walnut House was a very good choice for our stay. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Our room was very well appointed. They gave us a room facing the main street so we were able to see some of the fairy chimneys from our window. The sheets and the...

It was nice to meet Merdan and his family and the cats "Tekir" and "Ceviz". We didn't have any problems during our stay. We enjoyed having breakfast and watching TV with people in the entrance. Maybe they can put some slippers or can put some shower cabins in the bath. Also some people complain about hot water, in our room...

I first visited the Walnut House 15 years ago and always stay there when visiting Goreme. Merdan and his father are very laid back and welcoming. The rooms are warm (love the underfloor heating) and the water hot. Breakfast is very filling and the omelettes are superb. All Merdan's recommendations re. eating out and places to go are spot on....

I really enjoyed our New Year's stay at Walnut House. Merdan prepares a large breakfast, cooks a great omelette, and is happy to help organise extras such as balloon trips. The only thing wrong with our room was a lack of hot water on the first day but once we mentioned it the problem was immediately rectified. Highly recommended.

Lovely hotel with amazingly lovely and lively owners. Merdan and his father Fevzi are two very warm people who manage this hotel. Excellent location as everything is in walking distance including the famous Goreme Air Museum. Service is too good and as I said the difference is because of father and son's complete involvment. The rooms are well made and...

The service is excellent, offered by a very helpful owner. Location is perfect, right in the middle of the village, without noise. We liked the architecture of the rooms and the interior design, as well as the overall design of the hotel. Good breakfast in variety and quantity. Excellent value for money.

This is a great value, recommended to us by friends who had stayed the previous year. We stayed in one of the front rooms (2nd floor) -- the barrel vaulted ceilings add charm and on one of the cooler days (mid-October), the heated stone floor was a nice touch. From the street, it is not particularly inviting (a large walnut...

Very convenient location, large, comfortable rooms in an Ottoman-style house, tasty breakfast under the walnut tree and very friendly, helpful owners who organised many of our activities in Goreme. Nothing was too much trouble for them. There is also a comfortable lounge area and bathroom facilities which we were able to use on the day of our departure as our...

Excellent value for a small hotel/Guest House. Walnut House is conveniently located in the centre of the town. A very short walk from the bus station. We stayed for four nights and had excellent service. Rooms were big and clean and the bathroom was excellent. Breakfast in the garden was fresh and more that we could eat. Merdan and his...
