A very pleasant surprise awaits weary trekkers and travellers along the Lycian Way in the mountains above Kalkan, Turkey. It is Moonstone House, constructed, owned, and operated by Tim Raynor and his partner Judith. It is a cozy, modern Bed & Breakfast with all imaginable amenities. I have never stayed in a more hospitable place. The rooms are modern and... More

I've visited Moonstone House several times over recent years hiking the Lycian Way and around and I'm writing this review after the experience of a hiker who came to door, asked the price and then told the owner, Tim: 'You're too expensive' with tone of somebody who felt he was being ripped off. I've no problem with people travelling on... More

From the moment you arrive at Moonstone House, you start to experience a great hospitality from the owners of the house. Not only from Tim and Judie, but also from many friendly and cute cats and dogs surrounding you. Arriving hungry and exhausted, my first treat was a (turkish style) pot of tea and some cookies delivered to my room.... More

I've visited Turkey this August for the first time and I'm glad that I've chosen Moonstone house as a place to stay. I fell in love with the house and it's surroundings from the moment I saw the pictures and it is beautiful and clean in real life as it looks on photos. The hosts, Tim and Judith are kind,... More

We stayed here one night while walking the Lycian Way. We arrived after a tough hot walk to find a spotlessly clean, high standard accommodation, an infinity pool and terrace with a great view. Dinner was home-cooked by Tim who turned out to be an amazing chef. Both, Tim and Judith were extremely welcoming and made us feel like home.... More

We were 20 people on our Lykia Way tracking. We spent one great day and night here and we would love to stay longer. Beautiful house, great view, we felt welcome and cozy. Rooms are clean and touched with nice details, you feel like in Turkey but feeling also the west world responsibility to offer the best hospitality and excel.... More

This is a very special place, different from others on the Lycian Way. It is in a beautiful modern house, with a swimming pool (unfortunately too cold in March), with very nice rooms and a spacious, comfortable sitting and dining area, run by an English couple, Judy and Tim, who go out of their way to make one feel comfortable... Been there last August while walking the Lycian way. Moonstone was spotless even by western standards, a highly recommended location. Food is also excellent. Every traveller in the area should stop there.

We only stayed with friends at Moonstone for one night but would loved to have stayed longer! The views are breathtaking and are brilliantly complimented with Tim's world class hospitality. He is a special guy who will thrive to make your stay as enjoyable and relaxing as possible. We had an evening BBQ which was beautifully cooked with lots of... More
