We went all inclusive and it was a bargain. The breakfast is a buffet style, there wasn’t massive amounts of options (cereal, fruit and traditional Turkish breakfast offerings), we still managed to feel full afterwards. Lunch and dinner are selected from a menu, the all inclusive options are clearly set out, however if you want something that isn’t included in that, you can pay extra for it. The food was fine, it was cooked well and we did manage to find something to suit our tastebuds. Drinks were also included in the all inclusive option, again there were restrictions on what you could order, but again we did manage to find something to suit us (you can get other drinks but you do pay for these).
The room was fine (it was a little basic, but then again you don’t go on holiday to live in your hotel room).
The pool area was lovely, and the location of the bar/restaurant gives you a good view over Alanya.
We would recommend the hammam/massage. The two ladies that provide this service were friendly and very accommodating (my partner (Thomas) said he felt like a new man after having the massage). The package we opted for provided a sauna, scrub, wash, foam massage (which felt like you were being massage by clouds), face mask and then a full body massage. It was definitely worth the cost.
The staff at the hotel were friendly and polite and made you feel like part of the family.
Cleaners were prompt and efficiant, cleaning our room everyday and going the extra mile with towels arranged into swans which was a lovely touch.
Saving the best for last we booked in for a Turkish massage with Mari and Sevgi which turned into 3 massages over our 10 day holiday as they were so relaxing, if you are visiting this hotel please book in or you are missing out.
If you are visiting Alanya this is the place to go.
Thank you for a perfect 10 days villa Sanata
After a request to change rooms (at a cost of 8 euro’s a night) we agreed to pay half. Which was before we realised there was barely any hot water, no matter the time of day. Then there was the quality of the general facilities and the equipment provided (run down and dated) alongside chipped tableware and cracked tiles.
More than once there were holes and stains on the ‘freshly changed’ bedding. The cleaning of the room in winter time is mean’t to be every other day however we had to verbally request for the room to be cleaned. We also ended up doing it ourselves a few times in the two weeks.
The maids were excessively loud and disruptive, often waking us with banging and crashing as they carried out their cleaning services in the surrounding rooms.
When we approached the staff working at the hotel they said they would contact the manager/owner to find a solution to the issues we had raised but no one came back to us until our check out day, they told us if we didn’t pay the room upgrade despite our disappointing experience they would have to pay which was obviously a lie.
We also requested a double mattress topper, our request was ignored even though we asked numerous times. Our request was finally granted a week into our stay.
Wouldn’t recommend staying here!
The hotel fit my requirements perfectly. We were room only but my son ate lunch there and we had a few evening meals there too. On reflection all inclusive may have been overall cheaper BUT we ate from the main menu, the all inclusive menu was limited. And we ate at random times, all inclusive was limited times. The food was excellent, not expensive and plenty of choice. Cannot fault any meal.
I found the staff to be helpful and polite. No negative comments at all.
Our room 401 was a suite at the top of the highest block. The view was incredible. We had a main balcony and small balcony off the bedroom. We had one bedroom with air con and a king size bed. The sitting area had a sofa and chairs, we didn’t use them as there is very limited clothes storage so used to pile clothes in order. The kitchenette was basic with sink, fridge and hot plate which we never used. The shower was large with okay pressure and always hot water.
No air con in main living area, it would be uncomfortable to sleep in there.
The Hamman massage was excellent and the lady who does them was lovely
My only gripe was some guests left towels on sun beds all night and even when they were out on excursions. There are very limited beds. I am an early riser and would go down before 7 with my tea bags (bought from home) and beds were already “reserved” that said I did always get one when I was there and when my son surfaced after midday he was happy with a chair poolside. This behaviour did cause a heated argument one day between a British and Russian group, it was at the other pool (there are two small pools) and thankfully didn’t end in full on fighting but only because the staff got involved. I do think this “reserving” needs to be stamped out though.
As I was awear of from previous reviews there is a steep hill upto the property. Yes it’s steep but short so be mindful the hotel may not be appropriate for those with mobility issues.
Overall we had a fantastic stay at this hotel and I would 100% return
The only disappointment during our stay was the breakfast. Very limited choice of products , every single day exactly the same food ,( watermelon and apples and sometimes plums ). ( tomato and cucambers ) in the country where oranges , limes and lots of diffrent fruits you can literally pick up from the tree on the street they decided to not put on the table ,we had to go to the supermarket to buy very sweet and tasty fruits . It will also be nice to have freshly squeezed juices not poor quality full of sugar juice from the bottle. Apart from this I will highly recommend this hotel , the hill is an amazing fat burner after dinner :) everything is around 5 min walk from the hotel and what's very important is that it's very quiet , you cannot hear any noises from the high street .
Thank you
The staff are all very friendly and welcoming, without exception. Communication takes place mainly in English. The family atmosphere means that you can overlook one or two minor things, such as the furniture, which is partly showing its age.
We can only recommend the hammam. Small but nice with competent staff and good value for money.
The chambermaids also do their work thoroughly and neatly with attention to detail.
If you have booked all-inclusive, you should know that there is no buffet, only a la carte. But I personally found this very good. The kitchen/chef is excellent. The food was always fresh, with good ingredients and very tasty. My rather sensitive stomach didn't complain once during the 14 days. The owners also come to the hotel regularly with family and friends for dinner. On Tuesday evenings, however, you can only take part in the barbecue for an additional charge. Unfortunately, there is no a la carte option. Cocktails and long drinks are only available for an additional charge. All inclusive ends, unusually, on the day of departure at 12:00 noon with check-out.
We stayed all inclusive and it was worth every penny. The food was very nice. You choose from a menu with plenty of choice. We stayed for 2 weeks and ate there 3 times a day. You order off the same menu for lunch and dinner, however there is enough to have something different throughout a 2 week holiday. You can upgrade to certain meals (steak/mixed grill etc) and pay half the price listed on the menu (if all inclusive).
The breakfast was a little bit disappointing, however they will make something a little more suited to English customers if you ask (e.g pancakes or toasties).
The restaurant, both pools were kept spotlessly clean.
It’s a 2 minute walk to bars/restaurants/shops & 10 minute walk to the beach. The beach is spotless and the sea is a crystal clear (cleopatra).
The spa ladies are lovely and offer a wonderful service at a very reasonable price (25€ for a 90 minute Turkish bath & full body massage)
All staff at the hotel were very welcoming and it has a really nice and warm vibe.
If you’re looking for a small, quite budget hotel this is 100% worth it. We’d certainly revisit
