Spent a few days at the Flamingo Beach hotel. We arrived at around 1am and the staff on reception couldn't have been more helpful. When I mentioned I was feeling hungry they went off to the kitchen to see what they could find and brought back a snack. The staff are lovely and they will go out of their way...

My partner and stayed at the Flamingo beach and absolutely loved our stay. It is quiet classy, simple, with attention on the little things that make a holiday memorable. The service is comparable with staying with family. So nice, so kind, so helpful. I will definately recommend this above all other hotels in the area. You pay little you get...

We wanted a human size hotel in Djerba. The service was personal and first quality. We made good use of the pools on the back as well of the beach in front mostly used by local family. The kindness of the owners and the staff made our stay most enjoyable.

My thoughts are this: If you're looking for a good, sea view kind of place, You have found a perfect spot. The service is very flexible, a very top notch 3 star hotel that I would move up to 4! Great for families, couples, anyone. Their lunch and diner restaurant is rather expensive, $15-20 in price for a main course....

If you like the big hotels with all the trimmings and packed with groups the Flamingo Hotel is not for you. After driving around Southern Tunisia for over a week we ended up in Djerba and decided to have a look at the Zona Touristic. Not overly impressed so started to head back to Houmt Souk when we noticed the...

We were disappointed with our stay at the Flamingo Beach Hotel. After two weeks' backpacking we booked in here for a little luxury and were spending easily three times more than we'd paid for any other hotel in Tunisia (approx. £120 pn for a double room - more than the price on the hotel's own website). Don't be fooled; this...

Flamingo is located in Djerba's Zone Touristic - it seems to be where the islanders have quarantined the flux of European travellers to the area and in its current state of disrepair is much like an industrial zone. Having said that flamingo is by far the best of the bunch, a small family run hotel, super hospitable on a slightly...

Do you really want to go through the whole chain hotel experience… again! You could be in Trinidad, South of France or Tunisia, they all look alike. Similar decoration, similar food… So, if you are ready for a genuine, warm welcome, a taste of the local life and great Tunisian food, then this hotel is for you. We have stayed...

We booked into the Flamingo Beach after reading the reviews here and we were not disappointed. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left we were treated wonderfully. This place truly has a special charm to it and this is in no small part down the owners Nabil and Hela and their team of dedicated staff. Nabil and...

The rooms were comfortable and extremely well maintained. Lots of large windows, balconies, and open space all around the interior of the complex. Dining facilities and food are excellent. And most of all, the staff was professional and hospitable. An iron and an American electricity adapter were provided immediately upon request. An overall excellent place to stay in Djerba and...

“I prefer the rooms at the front of the second floor with balconys overlooking the beach. The rooms overlooking the swimming pool are very convenient to the pool, but if there are many children it can be a bit noisy.”
