We stayed here four nights after a busy tour of Tunisia. We arrived on Saturday evening and had been warned that the hotel would be full and noisy due to “djerbahood” happening in the village. (http://www.graffitistreet.com/djerbahood-project-djerba-tunisia-graffiti-street-news/). We needn’t have worried we were shown to the room furthest from the main reception Maison Du Poete, which is a room on two...

If you want something modern and big, this is the wrong place. Dar Dhiafa is full of charm and beautiful old things. It's in a quiet village in the center of Djerba, a short taxi ride from the touristy Houmt el Souk. The hotel offers access to two pool areas, a lounge area and a restaurant with really nice food....

My husband and I only got to stay for 1 night at this beautiful hotel. We are so pleased that we did though. Erriadh is truly special and staying at this hotel was excellent with the unique room and a warren of hallways and stairs leading to beautiful views of the town from the roof tops. Our room was the...

I honestly can't say enough about Dar Dhiafa. It was, by far, the most beautiful, well staffed, and run place we stayed during our two weeks in Tunisia. From the welcoming drink and cookies to the heartfelt "we're happy you're here" attitude of everyone from the room cleaners to the front desk. First, the room. Our suite was amazing --...

I just returned from a relaxing, long weekend in Djerba, where I stayed for four nights at Dar Dhiafa. Even before I arrived, Chiara was very helpful (and patient) as I tried to work out the travel details for a couple of friends who joined me later. The hotel itself is one of the loveliest I've stayed at, a wonderful...

My husband and I, newly moved to Tunis, drove to Djerba and staed at the Dar Dhiafa for two nights. It is beautiful and unique as described by many. Our dinners were delicious and the service in the restaurant was friendly and attentive. The pool is lovely. However, the customer service was a not consistent. One young woman at reception...

Dar Dhiafa is the best of Djerba. Bougainvillea filled courtyards, arches, secret alcoves, hidden passageways, domed roofs and plunge pools, it is five traditional Djerban village houses lovingly restored with great aesthetic flair by Chiara. The food is the best on the island especially the seafood specialities and the staff are unfailingly helpful and discreet - Samia, Sammy and Fethye...

My wife and I stayed just one night in this beautiful "boutique hotel", but it was enough to fall in love by grace and good taste of the place. Located in a small village (Village d'Erriadh), right next to the oldest synagogue in North Africa (Ghriba), are all decorated with traditional furniture and antiques. You can choose between two very...

My wife and I stayed at Dar Dhiafa for two nights while on a private tour of Tunisia. Although we had been staying in 4-5 star hotels at most other places throughout our trip, we opted not to stay in the highly recommended 5-star hotel on the beach in the tourist zone. Although that facility would undoubtedly have been superb,...

“Maison Du Poete, which is a room on two levels, downstairs the lounge and bathroom, upstairs the bedroom (double bed) and a small terraced area overlooking the hotel and surrounding area. A note of caution the stairs are quite steep with only a rope to help you up, so if you have any walking problems I would avoid this room.”
