I am writing this review while in still in the hotel. Like on the checkout stage now. This review is about both positive and negative things i found in this hotel. As me and my friend both come from hotel backgrounds so we tend to go in details regarding services and facilities. I am from india ( working in Maldives) and i am travelling with my friend who is from Maldives. Lets start Check in is a big hassle We reached around 9:45 in the morning. The standard check in time is 14:00. Early check in charge is 500 bhat. A guest would expect okay early check in done lets head for breakfast, but no wait, need to pay extra 200 bhat per pax for breakfast. Room conditions * INTERNATIONAL TRAVELLERS PLEASE READ * I planned this international trip for an escape from Indian culture but as I open my windows, I saw so many Indians in the pool. No offence. Positive The room is Cozy. We were given room on sixth floor with twin beds. The mattresses are Cozy. The AC is working perfectly fine. Negative * You will have a hard time charging you device. The whole room had only 2 sockets to charge our devices And those two sockets are in front of the bed and under the TV. Those sockets are built so so close to each other that only one charger can be inserted leaving no room for the other charger to go in the plug. While informing the reception about the same in the morning we were given a positive reply and we said “ we are heading out for now we will take the extension board later today”. In the evening upon arriving we checked for the extension board from reception they said “ engineering team is not giving” We asked for a room move and were refused. So for the rest of the stay we purchased our own board. Now we have left it in the room itself for the next guest who would be staying there. * The room and bathroom are not well lit. At times i had to use my flashlight to for shaving. * The emergency torch is missing in the room * The key card is a nightmare. It took me 10 attempts every time for it to work. There might be some technical issues going on * In most of the rooms balcony lights are not working including mine. Pool * There are two separate pools one for kids and other for adults. Both of them are well maintained and have nice sun-beds inside and outside of pool. * The shower near the pool was not quite visible so a little sign board would be good. * Outside of the pool the concentration of chlorine is mentioned. * The pool has a bar chair and you can enjoy a drink or two there. Reception * THE STAFF NEEDS TO BE TRAINED for professionalism ( will explain later) * On the day we requested for the extension board we were refused in a rude manner and plus the guy was busy scrolling through social media while i was speaking to him. * The head of the company needs to make sure that they have proper English speakers and they are getting international traveler’s as well. * On all days of our stay we requested a wake up call. Well we cannot be sure if it was done by them or not because we used to sleep pretty late. But anyways i will compare it to the check out day. * On the check out day we were called 20 mins before the checkout time after that 4 TIMES THEY VISITED US TO MAKE SURE WE ARE PACKING. Allow me to make you understand the system of wake-up requests, if the guest fails to receive the call any how, then comes the second protocol to knock on the door or ring the bell. * During the check out while we were still in the room packing, two ladies came to “ensure we are awake” and barged in (without permission) to check the mini bar amenities, it was a rude gesture, Need to respect privacy of guests. Food * We had breakfast only on our first day because it was so disappointing * The cuisine is mainly designed for Indians. Personal opinion Travelling to other country I would expect to experience that country’s flavours. * The restaurant is well designed and everything is clearcut visible. Its a FULL SELF SERVICE restaurant from coffee making till taking fork and spoon everything. * This system works best for large amount of guests. Serving coffee or setting the cutlery on the table is possible for the restaurant. * The food lacked flavour. I am a chef working in a 5 star resort. I indulge in the flavours and textures of the food. Well this is it. We stayed there enjoyed our time, but for the last time. I will look for better options next time.

The location was outstanding, close to shops and restaurants. Staff was exceptional in serving and accommodating our urgent needs. We specially thank Mrs. Tikky for helping out on our third day and extending our lovely stay at THE FISHERMAN. We will definitely come back

We arrived last weekend. Hotel was clean, room was spacious. Sadly for us it wasn’t a pleasant experience due to the noise level on our corridor. We experienced high level of noise from room next to us and room across from us. From 01:00 till 02:30 and 05:45 full grown men were totally disrespectful. Ringing each others door bell, going back and forth to each room, they would not knock on each other’s door but use their feet to kick. They were obviously under the influence of alcohol and were totally unaware of the noise they were making. Twice I asked if they could keep level down as it was disturbing our stay and sleep and that was with sleeping plugs in. Eventually we complained to reception who said they would chat with them. Apparently they did but it made no difference. I had to phone reception at 01:40 for noise disruption and who said they would put someone again up to talk to them. Next morning when I asked they said that they had spoken to them three times but unfortunately did not listen and had total disregard to others and staff. We were offered to move rooms but we said that we should not have to as we liked our room and they should be moved or separated- they told us because they came as a party of 41 they couldn’t! They we also spoke to other guests who also had the same problem. The hotel staff did not care about us but were more concerned with the large group probably due to money of course. I spoke again to two managers and I said to them for the inconvenience I would like them to allow us extra time in our room on check out day due to negative experience we received and not listened to. They said no at first but on second conversation they allowed us two extra hours. We agreed to this. On our departure there was no goodbye or how was your stay - like I said there was no other real issues apart from it caters food wise for a certain nationality. Sad to say would not go back ( we were not the only ones) These guests had total disregard for staff also and other guests. Cleaning and kitchen staff were more attentive than reception. Staff need to be more assertive when dealing with disrespectful guests. If you want peace and quiet go to another hotel .

It was terrific stay with Fisherman Harbour Urban resort, Pa Tong. The hotel staff's behaviour was very bad full of the attitude. I just ask the drinking water receptionist rudely denied and bluntly said you have to wait afternoon if you required water. I was so scared with these kind of behaviour and request all my friends do not suggest this hotel.😡😡 Near by area Ramada is very good option but booking this property fisherman harbour urban hotel❎❎❎

First of all I would of done 4 stars if it wasn’t for my experience at reception as I was trying to leave to get to the airport. The room was spacious and clean, can get your sheets changed daily and always leave you with 2 waters each day. Lovely air con as you would expect but sand on balcony which was there the whole stay as not swept. Only issue we had with the room service was one day I was undressed about to get into the shower and so was my wife , the cleaner opened the door without knocking and let herself in! I was asking her to give us 5 minutes which she didn’t seem to understand and continued to stand there for a minute asking if she can clean.. would it at least hoped for a knock before letting herself in! Hotel is close to patong beach and malin plaza where they do lovely street food and a market! Good location as not too close to where it is noisy but only a short walk away from everything! Breakfast is basic, my wife didn’t eat any of it . Didn’t want noodles for breakfast , I stuck with toast. Not much choice. RUDE UNPROFESSIONAL RECEPTION. As me and my wife were about to leave they checked our room and said 2 glasses missing , I politely told him ( skinny man with glasses) that we used them by the pool and as we were swimming the bar staff who were cleaning up and closing bar took them away! He would not listen to me and kept repeating himself saying “glasses gone , you show me glass or you not leaving “ He told the shuttle driver not to load our luggage on the shuttle as we are not going anywhere!! I could not believe how nasty and rude he was talking to me and my wife and causing us to run late to get to the airport over 2 glasses! I kept repeating myself and he didn’t seem to understand what I was saying, I put it on the translate on my phone and he still demanded I take him up to the room to show the glasses!! I mentioned how I was going to leave a good review until that moment and how unhappy I was, he said he did not care and made me write down statement of what happened ( he never once said what his expectation was or he wanted out of this I.e payment, I think he was just having a bad shift and taking it out on us) THIS MAN IN RECEPTION NEEDS MUCH MORE TRAINING, passive aggressive and rude nearly making us late for flight! We left on 6th April 2023 at around 4:45am.

This is not a five star hotel, the breakfast is awful. The rooms are damp and you can hear the next room speaking. The flip-flops that they give you are very well used and the balcony was filthy. On the plus side, it is at a great location. Breakfast is VERY bad
