Doing a mini road trip around Southern Thailand and popped into Patong, after driving around for 30-40 mins to find an area with Hotels open, we luckily found Patong Resort. What a gem, close to all amenities, staff were excellent and all very excited to see welcome us, we were the only guests in this huge complex. Stayed in room 461 overlooking the pool, the room has everything you need. They even gave us COVID packs, a small bag containing hand sanitizer and masks. So please if you're looking for place to relax during this time, please support this resort, its worth it.

This hotel is located in the heart of Pa Tong, great access to beach, bangla Road, markets, restaurants, spas, shopping centre etc. There are two swimming pools located in different part of the hotel. The garden side swimming pool is less crowded, I recommend going early if you would like to enjoy some peace and quiet. The garden side pool doesn't close until 9pm so you can enjoy some evening swim when it's cooler.

There are plenty of things to do nearby so you will never run out of things to do.

Although the hotel is lovely, I had an unpleasant experience with their security staff.

Everytime my fiance and I enter the hotel gate, we would get stopped by the security guards because they think I am Thai. We are both from New Zealand, I am kiwi Chinese and my fiance is kiwi so he was never questioned. I would show the security guards our hotel room card/key to prove that we are staying in this hotel but it's never enough.

One night the security guard called the reception to confirm where we are from prior to letting us in. I heard the security guard said "New Zealand" on the phone, then he turned to us and said "oh not Thai". He thought I looked like Thai so he wouldn't let us in.

Whilst I appreciate this hotel has strict security to ensure all their guests feel safe during the stay but I do not appreciate the way I was treated and this has ruined my experience with this hotel. I find this very racist, I am very disappointed and upset about how I was treated.

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. While I wish you had a better experience, it is feedback like this that we learn from and use to improve. We work hard to deliver an exceptional guest experience, and it's apparent in this case that we fell short. If you give us a chance to earn back your trust, I can assure you that we will do our best to give you the great hotel experience that so many of our guests have grown so fond of. Sincerely,

When selecting a tour to Phuket, we were looking for a hotel closer to the beach. And we accidentally came across an offer for the Patong Resort hotel. The reviews were good, and we booked a Deluxe room. The 11-night tour was not cheap, but we did not regret choosing the hotel - it is located inside between the first and second streets. .Probably, this is one of the best accommodation options in Patong - all the necessary locations are within walking distance: you go to the right, you will go out onto the second street to the Jang Ceylon shopping center, to the left you go through the arch of the Patong Tower and the beach nearby is a 5-minute walk, straight and the treasured gate to Bangla Road. At the same time, the hotel area is green, well-groomed with nice corners, there are 2 beautiful swimming pools. Beach towels are issued upon signature at the reception. The staff is friendly and well-trained, the security salutes when meeting guests. Breakfast is from 6 am to 10-30, which is very convenient, if you leave early for an excursion or don’t want to get up early. The choice of dishes is decent, everything is tasty and fresh. Our room 526 was located in the central building and was very good - large, comfortable beds, a wonderful balcony overlooking the pool, safe, refrigerator, umbrellas, slippers. bathrobes, scales, shampoo and gels. From Bangla Road, however, there is loud music until 3 o'clock in the morning, but with the balcony closed, the noise was not audible. There is air conditioning. Cleaning is done every day and is quite acceptable. I’m surprised that the hotel is positioned as 3 stars, for me it’s a strong four. Along the street leading to the beach there are massage parlors with reasonable prices starting from 200 baht and the Sokorn 49 cafe, where the food is very good and quite cozy. We always dined there.. I would gladly return to Patong Resort on my next trip.

This prop is okay the location is without any doubt excellent but rooms and policies are not okay . I ll start with checkin procedure first
at the time of checkin while my booking was prepaid they still asked me to pay 2000 THB cash deposit as security when I refused i was told to connect with my tour op. so I had to deposit thb 2000.
on one occasion I forgot my room key inside though they gave me another key but with a warning that at the time of checkout I have to return both otherwise a fine of 200 THB.
Now rooms:
Rooms are just okay still on a higher side on the price point.
Breakfast: I did not like it but its my personal opinion. All I had was overcooked omelettes and fried rice .
Service: Every morning at around 10 am the cleaning lady used to just barge into the room . no knocking nothing just like that .The basic courtesy was missing somewhere.
The hotel is next to Patong and Bangla so expect loud music inside the room if you are staying towards the pool
Thats all hope it ll help others.

The hotel is in a decent location but could be improved if they unlocked the advertised back entrance to Bangla Road, which is currently not in use due to COVID restrictions. The pool is nice and big with more than enough seats around it but there is almost zero shade so be aware of that. The room I had was spacious with a very nice bed, but it smelt of mould and received almost no natural light, the only window was the balcony doors but then the balcony itself didn't allow much light in, it was necessary to put the lights on even in the middle of the afternoon.

Check in was quick but they have an archaic system of taking a deposit; cash! They insisted on THB2000, which meant I had to withdraw that amount from an atm for my holidays spends (they have an atm on the hotel grounds that charges a THB200 fee...) and then gave it back to me at the end of my stay when I no longer needed that much money so lost out again exchanging it back upon departure. I honestly cannot remember another time in the last decade I have been required to give a hotel deposit as cash!

We stayed at the hotel from May 31 to June 7. Even though the hotel has its drawbacks, we liked it. First they checked us into room 519 overlooking the second street and the wall. This room is old, there is a smell of some kind of “dust”. The room was dirty, the walls (wallpaper) were dirty and had absorbed all the old age of the hotel, the room was semi-dark even with the full light on. The double bed is simply impossibly hard, so much so that you could break your sides if you jumped on it with all your might. It was unpleasant to be in such a room, and it was simply impossible to sleep due to the sounds of the street. It’s good that in the off-season the hotel was not full and the next day they changed our room to 606 overlooking the pool.
This room is fresh, clean, apparently recently renovated. True, there were two 1.5-size beds for my husband and me, but they were very soft and the bed linen was perfectly clean. We liked absolutely everything about this room! Plus on TV you could watch YouTube, etc….
The rooms in the additional building (not superior) are much better than the main building and have a more interesting view, they have something like a small garden, greenery all around, but they also cost more. We felt comfortable in our room.
The cleaning was done efficiently and in a timely manner. Breakfast, of course, does not correspond to the declared 4* hotel, but you won’t go hungry. We only went for breakfast on the 1st and last day. I didn’t want to get up early for him.
The location has been written about more than once; it is ideal. Everything is nearby... But still, the sea in the central part of the beach is much worse than the north of Patong.
For those who are traveling primarily not for the sea, but for hanging out, the hotel can be safely recommended. But of course, if you are lucky and get a different room than we had on day 1 of our stay.

When come here be prepared for the worst

Get your own water from market
One doesn’t get more than 2 tea bags per room per day
For the breakfast in the morning it’s the worst one can expect from quality, spread and service. No one is responsive to your needs. Items start running out by 9:30 so reach early to eat what they serve

The room service God Save you

This Hotel is one of the best in Patong.
Stayed here over the last 17yrs+ and loved it every time.
Its close to:
Patong beach 5min walk
Restaurants 2min wal
Bangla Rd 3min walk
Massage 2 min walk.
The hotel has:
2 swimming pools,
3 Bars
2 restuarant both great food.
Fitness Center ( above Pavirottis Restuarant).
An array of accomodation from standard to luxury, high rise and garden 2 storey units. Great Breakfast Buffett, friendly staff and beautiful green garden settings.
All guest rooms are well appointed and have private bathrooms and toiletries provided. The hotel lies in the middle of all the action that Patong offers, yet you dont know its there.
An oasis in the middle of a busy City.
Very Clean and comfortable with fantastic staff that always have a smile.
Cocktails by the pool or even a lunch snack.
Easy access to the swimming pools with stairs as well as ladders.
Approx 40min from Phuket International Airport a taxi will cost you approx THB800.
I cant fault this Hotel and will continue to stay there each time I travel to Patong. I just love it and you will too.

On our last day we experienced impolite and rude attitude from the personal. We were blamed of using minibar and received an invoice, although we did not use it. The way it was done was humiliating. We were also accused of bad english aswell. I have never experienced something like this before from a hotel staff. All in all, hotel was good, nothing to complain.

Our first impressions were very impacted by the sheer rudeness of the staff on reception. Upon our arrival they were so ignorant and rude, blatantly ignoring us, until we paid them!

When we got to our room, don’t except lavish luxury , because it’s completely the opposite, a very dated room with dirt all over the walls, stains all over the bathroom and toilet, an air con system which was no better than a fan blowing warm air around the room, and no fridge (even though this was stated as included) a safe which needed a physical key.

I returned to reception to gain the key for the safe, to be greeted with a reception full of customers complaining about either their stay or there checking in experience, which seemed similar to ours. I waited half an hour to be able to speak to someone to give me a key.

Breakfast was not great. If you like curry for breakfast then great but I’m sure most of the tourists that visit the hotels do no like this. Other Asian guests pushing in front of you to get an omelette or egg, like you didn’t even exist in the queue! This happened 3 times in the queue I was stood in, before I raised my voice at them and said “CAN YOU NOT EVEN SEE ME! Get in the queue like the rest! “ the staff are just oblivious to this.

I agree with some of the comments I’ve read here, if you want a room then that’s fine, if it’s a nice clean hotel your looking for , stay somewhere else
