This was a holiday that I really wanted to have after 2 years of lockdown in Australia. I have stayed at the Sea Pearl and keep returning because of the beautiful grounds, rooms and wonderful staff. I usually travel alone to do day hikes in the region but this time went with my daughter, 1 of my sons and his partner. The moment we arrived at The Sea Pearl they were excited. When they saw their rooms with private swimming pools and spas they were totally blown away. Access to local attractions like The Big Buddha, Kathu Waterfall, Phi Phi Island and down town Patong was another bonus to them. We ate excellent food at The Sea Pearl. The room service was excellent. Wonderful commited staff really looked after us. I can't rate The Wyndham Sea Pearl as anything but excellent. I will return again and soon.

This resort needs a major makeover before accepting bookings. We were told lies from an overnight manager to secure our booking. This place is 2.5 stars at best in its current state of disrepair. Avoid at all costs.

Stayed here for 8 days on arrival in phuket. Staff were very helpful assisting with setting up app for thai pass and explaining system and check in was easy. We had a private pool villa which was very spacious and a good sized pool meant that we really stayed in our own area and didnt use the other pools. All staff we encountered were polite and friendly. I know there have been negative reviews about this hotel recently, but people have to take into account that hotels are just opening back up to international tourism. We got our room for a good price, yes, it looked a bit tired and not all areas of the hotel are open, but it does state when booking that not all services are available, and it certainly didnt spoil our stay. Our room was cleaned daily and they have asked if there is an issue with your room, for you to let them know with a maintenance form, so they can correct it. I think in the current tourism climate, they were doing their best and as more tourists arrive, more facilities will again be on offer.

Stunning private pool villa. Amazing stay! It is slightly out of town and you have to take a taxi as there is no walking path. Had there been a shop on site we wouldn’t have left. The place was so nice we didn’t want to leave and miss anytime spent there!! We ordered a lot of room service which was all very tasty!

We chose this hotel as our base for New Years Eve and Day as the pictures on the booking site showed uninterrupted sea views over Patong (for the fireworks) and it was in the villa description too. We booked a “sea view pool villa”. During check in, we asked if we definitely had a view and were told “sorry, none of our villas has sea views”. We queried this as we had specifically booked for the view and she said “the trees have grown and the website photos are old. Sorry”. Hmm… We were taken to our (downstairs) villa which was absolutely beautiful, but the bench at the end of the bed was mouldy, the swimming pool was green and the concrete bench in it was covered in algae. My partner tried speaking with the staff on the phone but they wouldn’t discuss it and said they were fully booked. We went online and saw availability for various room types so he walked to reception. He came back and said we were being moved to the villa above which is identical but just higher up. Guess what, uninterrupted SEA VIEWS. Not only did they lie about being completely full but they also lied when they told us there were absolutely no sea views. These weren’t the only fibs they told but maybe it was easier than dealing with unhappy guests. The rest of the stay was alright apart from getting grief at check out which my partner dealt with as I found it too uncomfortable to deal with. For example, it was a nightmare getting our villa serviced and in the end, we bought our own toilet roll from the shop. I was a picture of elegance on our moped clinging on to a bag of toilet roll! I would stay again, but the team seriously need to scrub up on their customer service and not treat paying guests like monsters. When there is a complaint – they have “no hotel or duty manager”. When the bill is queried on check out and any complaints are made when settling the bill, magically the “hotel manager” does exist. Funny that.

Very helpful and gentle staff. But this resort lacked maintenance. A lot of furnitures were broken and needed to be replaced or repaired. The location was impossible to reach by feet. But taxi and transferservices were really expensive. You need ro rent a bike to get around. Thai food was very very good.

***DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL!! ***Horrendous stay. When first entering the room there was a used pregnancy test left in the bin (apparently the rooms are extra cleaned due to covid 19!! Clearly not) and the jacuzzi water was GREEN. I told reception and they told me there was no more double rooms and that they would clean the room and jacuzzi again. I know chemicals take a while to work but for the duration of our stay (4nights) the jacuzzi was not cleaned so we could not use it. On day 3 we were offered a new double room to stay in. When We went to view the room the jacuzzi was in the exact same green state as our current room. Again reception said they will clean it. We were there to celebrate a birthday and had specifically chosen this hotel/room due to its jacuzzi and well known ‘Wyndham’ name. Now the worst thing. We decided to get a bath seeing as though we couldn’t use the jacuzzi and the bath water was BROWN. Even after running for a few minutes the brown colour and horrible smell remained. We checked the shower and the bathroom tap and all were the same. I’m no expert but water like that carries so many life threatening diseases. Our friends were staying in the hotel with us in another room and they had the same issue with the dirty water. Obviously all the water must come from a tank which is filthy. We informed reception again and still nothing. As we were celebrating a birthday we avoided the hotel as much as possible to try and enjoy ourselves however this was impossible as even taking a simple shower left us feeling dirtier than we went in.Even the hotel swimming pools were full of algae. When checking out we informed reception that we would like to make a formal complaint and request a refund. We understand times are hard with covid but this basic lack of care was unacceptable and dangerous. And to pay such a high price when we have received 100x better from hotels that are a fraction of the price. Reception told us there was no on site manager and that we have to write our complaint down for them to send off and someone will be in touch. Nobody has been in contact with us and we are extremely upset by this. Maybe this review will prompt a response? We have plenty of photo evidence for everything claimed.

I would advise anyone please do go to this hotel The hotel staff are very intimating I visited the hotel for one night on arrival we got told to try the restaurant so we went then and when we arrived we got told we can’t go in there as there was a booking for 15 people and no one could go in there Then we got told we could go outside to eat all seating area with in the sun and extremely hot with no fans We both ordered food my girlfriends come out first which was a ok standard Then waiting around a hour and half for my steak to come out and when it did the steak was freezing cold so was the chips and vegetables Then I told them I was not happy with the meal then the replied saying it’s a new chef here So they decided to bring me some new food out when that arrived the steak was a average heat and the chips and vegetables was freezing cold also the peppercorn sauce was freezing So I decided to just try eat the steak as I was starving at this point and also had to sit there and watch my girlfriend eat her food alone So at the end we explained that the food was not very nice and we was not happy with the service After this the women walked away with not answering us Then 5 min later another women come to the restaurant with security officers looking very intimidating and shouting at us to pay are bill immediately we was very very scared at this point So with had no other option to do anything but hand over are money and get out the dining area as soon as we could As we was very terrified about are experience here we didn’t want to bring up are experience to any more staff at the resort We would advise anyone not to stay here as we would not want this to happen to anyone else The only good thing about this hotel was the room but this no not make up for the terrible incident that happened we would defo not ever be going back to this hotel Would advise do not visit because of your safety as well Thank Tony

Horrible experience with the receptionist Firstly what resort does not have a General Manager? The resort is out of the way you cannot walk to the shops or beach But the facilities are all closed We checked in met an escort collecting her fee on the way to our room Got to our room they started the AC which is much needed in this heat Check the privacy of our jacuzzi its fine The jacuzzi has lots of stains on it My wife lets out a small scream the toilet is clogged with the previous occupants excrements and it does not flush I give it a try and its not working so I start filming the whole ordeal I then almost slip and fall as the AC is leaking and has created a puddle in the hall way We complain they just send us to another room overlooking the Main Road We don’t like that room and are told there are no further rooms available We both check online and see that there is availability The staff then begins threatening us to leave the property or else I begin filming them The staff tells me not to expect any refund and forget about my security deposit We are then escorted out the resort Instead of letting us use the resort taxi to get to a more busy are we had to get our own taxi 20min after checking in Just stick with Hilton you get what you pay for and it’s on the beach
