We were very fortunate to get Room 648, the only one on the top floor and just a flight of stairs to the rooftop pool. We found the service to be very accommodating (pardon my pun 😃) with friendly smiles. The room was serviced daily and we liked how they do some shaping with the towels. The room was very spacious and there were separate air conditioning for each room. This came in handy when my parents in law (from Vietnam) preferred a warmer clime. The location was very convenient. Patong Beach was only a 15 minute walk and Bangla Road (centre for night life) is only 22 minutes walk away. You can take a Tuk Tuk but it will cost you 200 Thai Baht each way, roughly equivalent to $10 Australian at the time. I highly recommend Platinum Hotel and if I come back to Phuket in the future I’ll be staying here again.

The hotel was clean. Room was serviced daily. Good location and walking distance to eveything. Only complaint is that there was a lot of traffic noise early in the morning. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Rooftop pool was great. Close to convience stores and street food markets. Easy walk to beach.

We stayed in the lower level apartments as we were traveling as a family. The rooms are clean & tidy ( huge thanks to the house keeping .. super friendly) beds are large but firm. The location is great, Walk to the beach & local markets , there are several options close by for eating out as well. The pool is of good size , the only feedback there would be some umbrellas for some shade. All in all a easy stay I would go back again.

Very clean and nice accommodated hotel. In the heart of Phuket close to the main attractions. They offer motorbike rental which was so convenient. Daily cleaning from crew, terrace pool with amazing view and great customer service. I would go back here again. Recommend 💯

Found the place great. The hotel room was lovely and clean and gave small supplies like shampoo, hand wash, cotton buds and shower cap. The refrigerator was nice and cold with free bottles of water. Staff were friendly specially Tom. Pool area is nice and good location. Only negatives I have the air-con could be better and the balcony view isn’t great but nothing too bad.

Booked last min.(3hrs before arrival) so got superior room at a fraction of the original cost. Good communication via booking.com with the hotel. The hotel is an hr or so from airport but got airport taxi transfer(don't pay more than 700-800bht) Hotel located on busy main road but only 2min walk from night market(local food stalls, cheap n tasty) and 10 mins to Patong Beach. Plenty shops/bars in vicinity. Easy check in and left passport as deposit but it's kept locked away. CCTV throughout hotel so feels safe. Our room was 303 located facing main road so was a little noisy but was just white noise after the first night. Large room and very clean. Free extras...Shampoo,soap,hairdryer,aircon, coffee, fridge,TV. Bed was huge but hard(Thai beds seem to all be like this) Room cleaned everyday with fresh towels and staff very trusting. The gem of this hotel is the roof top pool, although needs some TLC(rusted steps, furniture worn) it gets sun all day and free use of sunbeds. If you expect a 5*hotel you'll pay the price but if your happy with a room that's clean and safe with the added bonus of being surprisingly nice this is the hotel for you at a fraction of the cost!(£78 for 3 nights) It's a hidden gem in what initially appears to be a bustling town but is in fact a little paradise.

me and a friend stayed here for 2 nights before travelling further into thailand. we weren’t expecting much as it was a cheap place to stay however we’re travelling for 4 months and have found many places a lot better value for money. first of all the room we were staying in was located up a small and dark staircase and when travelling with big bags we found it difficult to get up and down. some of the staff were lovely however one member of staff was particularly sharp and patronising with us. the room was what you pay for i guess.. a bed and a bathroom, nothing special. we were slightly disappointed having seen signs everywhere saying it’s a quiet hotel and it most certainly wasn’t! we’re not usually the people to complain about noise but this hotel was particularly noisy.. there were people running up and down the staircases, shouting, playing music and knocking on our door and others. on the bright side the location of this hotel is perfect.. just a couple of minutes walk from the markets, so close to supermarkets and a 10 minute walk to the beach. the title of this explains it all.. it is average and nothing special.

Me and my friend visited for two nights and we weren’t that impressed. Obviously it’s not the most expensive place so you can’t expect luxury, but compared to other hotels that we’ve stayed at for the same price, we were disappointed. Upon arrival, we were shown to our room which was located up a narrow and dark staircase. Seeing as we are travelling for half a year, our bags are not the smallest and it was a real struggle to carry our bags up and down, with no lift for that particular part of the hotel. The room was big and clean, but very basic. The pool was lovely and not too crowded, and the actual position of the hotel was good as it’s located near the markets and about a 10 minute walk to the beach. Some of the staff were very nice, but a few weren’t that friendly and could be quite patronising. Our main issue was that on both nights the hotel was really loud. I’m not the sort of person who minds their being a bit of noise whilst I’m sleeping, but to have people running around and knocking on doors and playing music until 2am that morning even bothered me. Maybe stay here if you’re wanting to party, but if you’re looking to chill look elsewhere...

Overall my experience was pretty good. I found the staff to be helpful and kind. Room was big, comfortable and clean. Wifi good. Air conditioning good shower good. Room has safe. Nice swimming pool on roof Location is 5 min walk to beach. Tons of food choices near Some negatives. No shower gel or toothbrush in room. No food options in hotel (many outside though). Loud busy street. Hard to sleep before 1am as it's located on the road to Karon so always busy. Don't use tours in hotel, shop around can get better prices. Overall it comes out as a good experience

if you have a itinerary that makes you stay out and come back to the hotel late at night, then you can choose this place. basic hotel , not that I have much complains about it, less for the view from balcony that you may look into the adjacent hotel rooms. the thing that upset me is the way we were treated when we wanted to check out. we book 2 rooms that is suppose to finish our new year at the hotel, but I was not pleased with some stuff that I feel , the pictures uploaded on booking.com were strategically done to create a false look. so I book another place , and wanted to check out 2 nights earlier. wasn't complaining to the staff about anything, just felt it was my fault not doing proper diligence . and the staff mentioned one towel was missing. and we were clueless on this, as we did not take anything out from hotel. and they went on and on and on saying its our fault and ONE towel is missing , accuse us of taking it to the beach. we told them they can check the CCTV but they still adamant we pay for it. I don't mind paying but the way we were accused is not right. so afer 20-30 mins , I was frustrated and I just wrongly used the 4 letter word, in the context , its just a towel F**k it man! and the skinny staff rush out from his counter and challenge me to fight ! and he wentt on, saying its Thailand and he can do whatever he wants to us, and nothing we can do. well, another mature staff , gave us our deposit and askus to leave. what a scene, I know I should have kept my tongue in check but just got frustrated and whatever it is, does not warrant a fight . and guess I wont go there again and i hope no one gets the treatment i got.
