Hotel Indigo Phuket Patong is celebrated for its chic and welcoming atmosphere, with modern rooms and engaging live performances enhancing the guest experience. Nestled close to the beach and vibrant nightlife, it offers an ideal location for those seeking convenience and excitement, although the lively setting may not suit everyone. Guests commend the attentive service and immaculate rooms, though occasional noise can be a setback.
While the hotel provides good value overall, including tempting happy hour specials, some visitors suggest exploring local eateries for breakfast. The rooftop pool garners praise for its stunning views, despite remarks about the cost of drinks.

Detailed Reviews
Hotel's Favourite
We were impressed from the moment we arrived. The lobby felt immediately like we were in a luxury resort in Hawaii. Matthew checked us in while a porter took care of our luggage and we were given a welcome drink. The entire experience was great at check in. Upon arrival to the room, once again impressed. The room is large, nice balcony overlooking the pool with a daybed like sofa, spacious bathroom, all modern styled. The beds are VERY comfortable. In the evening we could hear some music from a bar next door coming through the open breezeway, but once we closed the door to the room it was quiet. Absolutely zero complaints with the room. Loved the bathroom amenities, although I have forgotten the brand.
For context, we are IHG One Rewards members with Diamond Status which allows us to choose an amenity upon arrival and we chose daily breakfast. The breakfast buffet was fantastic with so many choices. Your order your coffee and eggs from a menu, and everything else is on the buffet and includes options for all palettes. Great idea on the egg orders as it does away with a long line at an omelette station. The servers took great care of us each morning.
For evening, we had a dinner at Butcher's Garden. The food was delicious and the service was impeccable. Highly recommend, and as IHG One Rewards members, we received a 20% discount. We had snacks and cocktails another night at Pots, Pints and Tikis. The food and service were very good, and the open air atmosphere with live entertainment under the trees was quite nice. They have a brick oven pizza and they looked delicious coming out. We didn't get to try them this time, but something for our next trip.
The location of the hotel was perfect for all of our needs. It is a very short walk down to the beach, and there is a 7-Eleven on the first floor (opposite end from the lobby) which is very convenient for any snacks or forgotten items. Also along the first floor is a large assortment of restaurants with all types of cuisine. Truly convenient in every way. We will definitely be returning to Hotel Indigo on our next trip to Phuket.

Hotel Indigo,
This was only my second time staying at an Indigo property and I was not disappointed. Hotel Indigo in Phuket exceeded my expectations. The staff there is amazing and the check in refreshment is always a nice touch.
I believed I stayed in a Jr suite, that room was amazing. It was so spacious and the furnishing were nice. The room was so nice I spent one day just watching movies and ordering room service. One thing I especially like was the glass bottles of water, I wish more hotel would move away from plastic bottles of water in the rooms.
The room service always arrives faster than the 30 minutes they quoted. The hotel pizza was great. The pizza size it a little bigger than a personal pizza, but not as large as a medium, if you are hungry you may want to order two.
The pool area is not to large, so if you plan to go to the pool you may want to get there early. The beach is only a block away so you can always swim in the ocean. The hotel Indigo is perfectly located to everything. A short walk to shop and restaurants.
I am ever in Phuket again; I would certainly book at Hotel Indigo. If you are traveling to Phuket, stay at the Hotel Indigo, you won’t be disappointed.
If you want to rent a scooter, go to Enrico Hostel Patong, the guy is super friendly and if he is out of scooter, he can direct you to a place that has them. It is a 5 minute walk from the hotel and prices are very reasonable.

Great hotel. Let me get a few of the cons of of the way before I get into it, because there are things you need to know if you are staying here for the first time!
When you arrive you need to pay a deposit of 1000 baht per night you are staying! This isn’t made clear anywhere but it is their policy. I am lucky I had enough cash on me for this, they accept card but be warned you need to pay! We got it back no problem when checking out. There is a person in the hotel lobby that books trips and taxis for you. Be careful, the prices are much much higher than what you pay at other vendors, so be sure to barter and get the best price you can. And finally, we couldn’t nail down what time the cleaning staff came to clean the rooms, so often our room wouldn’t have been cleaned, even if we’d been out for most of the day. This was the case even when turning on the light to request our room be cleaned.
Now the pros! There are many! The hotel looks magnificent as you can see from the pictures. In fact I would say the pictures don’t do this place justice, it really is nice. The staff are polite and speak English which is very helpful! The rooms are large, and full of all possible amenities you could need. The bathrooms are great, the wet room with the bath and a shower is a real treat, and I’d recommend using your bath! We had a small balcony that looked out on to a busy street. The noise was quite loud so if you are sensitive to loud noise at night, request a room that faces away from the main road. However it was not an issue for us. The plugs take UK plugs so no need for any adapters if you’re from the uk! The beds are comfortable and you can request different types of pillows. You get water in your room that is complimentary, take advantage of it! There is a nearby convenience shop if you ever need anything. You are walking distance from the beach and mall down the road. The WiFi is quick and reliable and works all over the hotel. There are taxi drivers around the hotel if you ever need to go anywhere. The pool up on the roof is a real highlight. Perfect for relaxing. You can get food and beverages up there too. Breakfast at this hotel is a must. The choice is insane and you also get a cooked portion ordered to your specification as well as having an extensive world buffet.
I highly recommend staying here if you’re coming to Patong. It’s quite a bit more expensive than comparable hotels from what I could tell when booking the hotel, however it offered good value for money and contributed to a wonderful trip to Phuket.

We have just arrived back after two weeks in Patong staying at the hotel indigo. As we arrived the covid 19 virus had started to slow the tourist industry down and so we were a little disappointed our room was not ready. We did arrive early (9.30am) but felt as the hotel was quiet they could have accommodated us after such a long journey. We did get our room around 12 and it was nice, with very good air conditioning. Not much hanging or drawer space and the bathroom is fairly small but a nice room overall. There is no evening turn down service which was a little inconvenient and we also found the rooms quite noisy at night because the area is lively until the early hours. The cleaning service in the room was not the best and we regularly noticed the cups and spoons were not clean and there were cup marks on the tables. We also found a large worm near the bed which had dried up, leading us to assume the floors were not cleaned very often! The rooftop pool area is nice but quite small. Music was often loud and annoying and it was hard to relax in the sun. Drinks at the bar are really expensive and then are loaded with 10% service charge and 7% tax making them exceptionally costly. We didn’t dine in the hotel because of the prices. Breakfast was 535baht per person plus service and tax!! The gym was quite basic and the air conditioning never seemed to be cool enough to allow you to work out effectively. The location is fairly central and convenient for walking both to the beach, Bangla rd and shops and restaurants. Overall we had a pleasant stay but feel the hotel prices are much too high on food and drink. The bar and restaurant was always empty.

Was welcomed by super friendly staff and immediately upgraded to pool access room. Room was huge and quite fancy designed. Big bathroom with freestanding tub and additionally a shower with rain fall showerhead, all with nice water pressure.
Nice and comfy big bed with big TV in front.
Room had a small terrace with direct access to second pool, which is only accessible from these kinds of rooms (first one is on rooftop).
Breakfast was really nice and room service was as well very delicious.
But the best was the super friendly staff. Looking forward to coming back soon.

We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights and prepaid in full for a King Retreat View room before our arrival. Our stay was bittersweet though, as our room had a leaking ceiling that dripped water, while our cards couldn't access our room after the leak was fixed. On the plus side, staff were generally courteous and the room interiors looked modern. The reservation team had also allowed us to use a lower room rate (and to refund the rest), while the hotel staff had left a surprise on my friend's birthday. The hotel is also centrally located in Patong (800 THB taxi fare from the airport).

I booked a pool access room for 6 nights, I must say the communication and the help ( to sort out my Thai pass)I received from Ms. Mam in the reservation department was second to none , the amount of emails we exchanged, the times I had to adjust my stay as the Thai government changes regulations regularly. The room was nice and comfortable but on 4 nights ( out of 6 nights stay) I woke up to cigarette ashes in my balcony , front desk was informed, assured me it will not happen again but happens 3 times after that! The staff are working so hard to please the guests ,few times I witnessed rude guests toward hotel staff, and you just feel sorry for them to have to put up with that kind of behaviour. And some guests really enjoy pushing the boundaries like the guy who insisted on preparing his own pizza at Tikis despite the obvious disgust of other guests and staff.Breakfast was just Ok , scrambled eggs served cold twice and egg Benedict was over cooked so nothing to rave about, the croissant and Danish pastry lacked taste and freshness.certainly not 5 stars breakfast , the same attendant asked me my room no. every single day, with obvious lack of effort to familiarise themselves with the guests.
Front desk staff were mostly OK to deal with , mostly inconsistent in dealing with the issues. The only guys who really stood out as keen to help are Joker and Pun both are stars at the front desk as they really went out of their way to show commitment to the job.
Mr.F @ Tikis and his crew Miew and Nice were so friendly and made me feel home instantly, I had the best cocktails there ,make sure to enjoy the happy hour.
Housekeeping members did great job daily.
The hotel is modern and stylish , not a resort with gardens , with no 5 stars luxury or exclusivity feel, Check in was standard as was the check out . I was unable to relax or chill during the day from 10 -4 due to on going drilling on a ground floor shop ( doesn’t belong to the hotel) .
I didn’t notice any families with young children as the hotel caters mainly for solo, couples and groups alike .
My experience was marred by the many and many inconveniences during the stay so it fluctuates between poor and good ( far away from outstanding). I think if you book this hotel and really really lower your expectation you will enjoy the stay, but you have to have a good deal ! Considering all the aspects of the trip( value, communication, location, level of service, other options available at time of booking and flexibility) I’m giving a 5 star review but this doesn’t mean the hotel per se is 5 stars. Room 236

I cannot tell you how amazing our stay was at this wonderful property. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted with cool hand towels and fresh squeezed juice. X checked us in, and gave us the best recommendations. He was friendly, funny, and provided us with a smooth check-in. Can’t say enough good things about him!
The property itself is located 2 minutes from the beach and far enough from the parties but close enough to venture out and enjoy the bars, restaurants, and shops. It’s beautiful with a large gym and beautiful roof top pool with nice views. The rooms are very modern and the food at the restaurant downstairs is DELICIOUS. We happily had breakfast there everyday. Highly recommend this property & definitely staying here should we ever find ourselves back in Phuket!

We had a wonderful time at this hotel. We were supposed to stay only 2 nights but ended up staying for 5 nights as we did not want to go back to the Corona crisis in Bangkok just yet. It was a bit disappointing that most of the venues in and around Patong were closed, but obviously this is beyond the control of the hotel.
Front staff was great, with special thanks to Joker and the lady at front desk as well (didn’t catch her name). They truly know about hospitality and made sure that we had a very enjoyable stay.
Special mention to the staff in Butcher Restaurant as well. Jen and her team are doing a great job here. Very welcoming and always a smile on their face. Quality of the food was decent too. Order some of the starters and a steak from the butcher room and you won’t be disappointed.
We found that the quality of Housekeeping was not really consistent. Especially during times of low occupancy there should be more time to ensure that rooms are cleaned properly, also in detail.
All in all a great stay and will return on the next trip to Phuket 👍🏻

At check in, I used a debit card. Receptionist said I would have to pay up front. No problem. She then said that because it wasn’t a credit card, she would need a cash deposit of 5,000 Bart due to company policy. I didn’t have it on me. Manager gets called. I hear about company policy again and she tells me to go to the bank. I can have the deposit when I check out. I didn’t want 5,000 given back to me when I was going straight to the airport and leaving the country. She rejected other currencies but would accept USD. I had some but not enough. Company policy gets trotted out again, many hotels do this etc. Many hotels don’t, including the other IHG hotels that I have stayed in. I had heard enough about company policy by then and asked her to refund the payment I had just made and I would go to another hotel. Hey presto, she told the receptionist to check me in before walking off without looking at me again. I was told I couldn’t bill things to my room. Fine by me but I should have been given that option to start with.
Great welcome.
Room looked good but there was little storage. Bed was amazingly comfortable and shower was great.
The “Retreat” view was of building work to the hotel next door. There was poor soundproofing in the room and the work was sometimes noisy during the day. At night, you can singalong with the band from the restaurant next door.
Breakfast had a good choice but hot food always arrived cold. The staff seemed a bit stressed.
Housekeeping staff were lovely.
Location was good but the road outside the hotel was very busy.

As our maximum number of people per room is set at 2. So there will be no additional change as long as the number of people stay in your room does not exceed 2 persons.
Greetings and thank you very much for the query. Please be informed that we have 2 dinner options available in the hotel. Our pub and restaurant "Pots Pints and Tikis" and our steak house "The Buther's Garden". All of them offer a la carte during the dinner time.
