This is by far the worst guesthouse experience I've had after a month of moving around Thailand. Ton Sai is known to be grimy, and I am no stranger to living in a jungle, but I was not prepared for this. As it was low season, we were told we could have a bungalow at 300 baht/night for 2 weeks,... More

400 baht for a large double bungalow. No towels, hot water, toilet paper or cleaning of the room. Its fine because unless you haven't done your research you don't expect luxury in Ton Sai, but it would have been nice to at least have your rubbish bins emptied or bed made. Spent 8 days here and by the end our... More

For tonsai. This place is really good. Pro: in the woods. Lots space. Friendly people. Tonsai isn't for luxury goers. Remember the style of the toilet. Room is basic like rest of the beach. Cold water shower is good enough. Nice double bed with room and mattress for extra. Space outside room for yoga and chill. Bugs and birds everywhere... More

We were there for 7 nights in the Bamboo Bungalows and had a great time. The lady we dealt with was so lovely and very friendly. The room was basic (double bed with mosquito net, fan and a private bathroom). You are a little walk away from the beach but it was nice being up in the forest watching the... More

You get what you pay for. Was 300 baht for a double room with a fan. Bathroom was non existent, as it was outside in a concrete "pit". There was a non flush toilet, no bum gun, no toilet paper, no sheets on the bed (besides a paper thin gross one on the mattress--I'll get to that later), and was... More

As we stayed for 3 and a half weeks at countryside we got a good chance to really get a feel for the place, the good and the bad. And we stayed for a long time so there was nothing terrible. It is a very good place considering location and prices but I'm not saying it doesn't have its problems.... More

Such a gem of a location, the bungalows are clean and tidy, very spacious and set on stilts in the hill side. It is very quiet and peaceful, surrounded by nature with the sound of wildlife all around you. You need to be fit to reach the bungalow we stayed in, as the path is steep, but not a problem,... Unfriendly Mosquito net full of holes. Bedbugs which caused me to change place ... when i told them they said it was mosquitos, and NO, it wasnt, it was bedbugs. I woke up one day with my shoulder full of bites, the next day with my left arm. It is not their fault, it can happen, but at least they... More

I loved Ton Sai, but really wish I'd stayed in another place by the end. The deck of the bungalow is pretty cool and is definitely the best feature, the bedroom average to OK and the bathroom poor. The location is good. Lots of monkeys around. The internet was slow, but due to the location probably understandable. Was expensive and... More

This was such an idyllic setting, the rooms are rustic but overall very nice. I like that it is hidden up the hill with an 'off the beaten track' feel. It's not too far to walk at all and if you keep walking you discover a little jungle trail that takes you through to Railay East, just beautiful! My only... More
