Detailed Reviews
The Riverpool resort offers a fairly basic accommodation at an above average price. The rooms are furnished with middle to lower end hotel furniture, and are fairly basic. Notably, there is no in room safe and the WIFI does not work in the rooms, only out doors. We noticed that they seem to have an organic approach to pest control, using limes to attempt to keep Ants 🐜 out of the rooms. The hotel appears to be struggling, and there was a birds nest just outside the door to our room.
The staff is friendly and kind. They speak limited English, so communication can be difficult.
There are no major issues with the hotel, but it lacks a wow factor or something that makes it standout. With the price being charged, there needs to be more than a basic room.

This hotel is right on the river. It has an awesome pool. The staff are WONDERFUL. When we asked for milk for our coffee with breakfast, a staff member zipped on his scooter to the nearby 7-11 and got milk for us. When we had an early-morning excursion, the staff started breakfast early for us.
The rooms feel small, because the windows are small and high and the rooms are concrete. The rooms and attached bathrooms are impeccably clean. The a/c works wonderfully. The resort area feels secure. The facility is still under development, though you won't encounter construction noise, it's a slow hands-on process.
Next door, the "Good Times Resort" is well established and has a good travel service, but due to its quaint ponds, it has more geckos and gecko food.

There are a very nice view and a good location but the place still needs some improvement.
I went there with a few friends for a holiday and the swimming pool is really nice and there is an amazing view of the river.

Pros: location convenient for the restaurants, bridge, museum , graveyard and market; good size; room, good mattress, fridge , TV and aircon.
Cons: hot water in shower didn't work, bathroom and toilet partially open to the sky (and the mossies), and toilet/ shower obviously has no aircon, aircon in the bedroom took forever to cool it, there are no windows, breakfast is very poor (the worst to date in five weeks in Vietnam and Thailand) and the pool looks very uninviting. Staff speak very little English.
The oddest thing is the design and building of a hotel facing the river and the potential views and including no windows. The room walls and floor are polished concrete and with no windows this felt like a cave. When on the second day we pointed out that the shower wasn't working right, the receptionist had a look, said "sorry" and went away. We waited a while in the room but she never came back. We had cold showers and later, at reception, mentioned it again. The girl said we could change rooms but there was hardly much point as we were leaving in he morning. No discount was offered in respect of the shower.
We visited and dined in the good time resort next door. Rooms there were roughly the same price and it is much much better. The dinner was good too.

Stayed 3 nights in this very interesting resort. After first night had to move rooms to accommodate a large booking they had taken. The room was plain but ok, not very old but no windows which seemed strange, huge bathroom with a central plug so the room sort of floods before draining. Air con was excellent and the pool area very nice but being April in Kanchanaburi the water far to hot to use.. Close to restaurants and beer bars so not short of entertainment. There's a Restaurant down by the river which looked good but the resort overall looked unfinished....

Very spacious area outside hotel, very nice pool area and walking distance to restaurant area. "The best riverside hotel in Kanchanaburi I have visited". Spacious, open and feeling of being private. Areas for eating were open and sometimes breakfast was located only a few meters from river. Recommend this for both singles, couples and families with children.

We stayed 2 nights there with friends and for the price we paid the place was somehow ok. Our Rooms at ground floor were spacious but without window so you feel a bit living in a cave. The pillows could have been more soft and smaller to make sleeping more comfortable. The bathroom was huge and surprisingly bright. Otherwise the rooms were clean even they were not ready at 2 pm for check in. The pool is nice but the garden needs a clean up as some parts still look like work in progress with plenty of stuff laying around. Breakfast was ok with eggs, fruits and some rice soup. If you need a strong coffee to wake you up walk up the main street and then turn left to find Library Cafe. In general you will find plenty of restaurants and bars in the surrounding. Hope they work on some improvements as the place it self has potential.

Very nice view (Kwai river), brand new accommodation. The hotel is super clean and the rooms are well decorated.
The swimming pool is perfect and the staff very friendly. They even offered us drinks next to the pool.

have stayed there when they first had rooms available and stayed clean until now. perfect for walking to river kwai bridge and in to town. Breakfast is reasonable and plenty of parking for bike and car. try to stay in the rooms opposite the reception, they are cheaper and have a open bathroom. the new building with rooms facing the pool do not have that but view of the river.
